" Great home-away-from-home property. It suited our family, 4 adults and 2 children, quite nicely. The only slight drawback is that the driveway is quite steep, so it is a little difficult to navigate for an older person, such as myself. I would also recommend that ceiling fans be added to the two smaller bedrooms and that the screen in one of the bedrooms be replaced for safety reasons. In addition, carpet nails slightly protruded in front of the smaller upstairs bedroom. A/C worked...

"Our cabin stay at the cozy black bear retreat was FABULOUS! The cabin was spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed. K-cups, water, cozy bath robes and Roku TV. The host was quick to respond when I had the old code upon arrival. The views were breathtaking. She even had train maps and local restaurant menus. Can't wait to go back!"

"We had a great stay. I was a little embarrassed when I had a room key issue trying to get into the laundry room at 6.30am, so my hair wasn't done and I was looking a little rugged I might say lol. the front desk woman asked me my room number and my name and said she hadn't seen me before, when she is the one who checked me in. Just a bit quick to judge I felt like...that's after the night before she said guests were complaining of homeless people in the parking lot when I was alone getting all the laundry from my van after weeks of traveling the west coast. Other than that... It's a very nice facility. If you have your hair done right and you look clean and no mistake for a homeless person...you will surely like this hotel. The breakfast in the am was very yummy. Make your own waffles, bagels, hot cereal, cold cereaI, eggs ,sausage..the usual hotel breakfast but never was cold or mushy like someplaces. Room was smaller than expected, but that could be my mis reading...still 5 stars even tho I felt a bit judged a few times. Probably won't be back, I have other places I prefer to stay than this one. Oh also, only 1 washer and dryer in he entire building! There was always somebody waiting for you to be done so they could do laundry. Come prepared with quarters, front desk only has 1 roll available to sell. I had to hoof it to Chevron hoping I didn't get skipped in line for a load. Very small washer."

"We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, the room was very comfortable, and the mattress was excellent — we slept great. The view was absolutely stunning and added so much to the overall experience. The pool area was also fantastic and very relaxing. The only small note is that there was quite a bit of dog hair in the room, which we noticed during our stay. Other than that, everything was great and we would definitely come back"
