  • Experience the best of riverside living at this inviting five-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch-style retreat in the heart of South Fork, Colorado. Nestled beneath towering cottonwood trees, the home features 300 feet of private riverfront, a comfortable single-story layout, and plenty of space for your group to gather and unwind. Whether you're planning an outdoor adventure or a relaxing escape by the water, this scenic retreat offers a wonderful home base in every season.

After a day exploring the mountains, trails, or river, settle into one of the home's inviting living spaces and enjoy some downtime together. With multiple areas to relax, there's room for everyone to spread out and recharge. A washer and dryer add convenience for longer stays and help keep outdoor gear and clothing ready for the next day's adventures.

Step outside to enjoy the peaceful riverfront setting. Soak in the hot tub overlooking the water, fire up the gas grill for an easy outdoor meal, or simply take in the natural beauty of the cottonwood-lined riverbank. With 300 feet of private riverfront, the setting offers a memorable way to enjoy the scenery and unwind in the fresh mountain air.

Convenience is another highlight of this property's location. A local coffee shop sits at the edge of the property, making it easy to start your morning with a fresh brew. Rainbow Grocery, restaurants, convenience stores, and equipment rental shops are just across the street, while the town park is within easy walking distance for picnics, playground visits, and community events.

Outdoor recreation is close at hand, with excellent fishing opportunities and access to the Creede and ATV trail systems nearby. There's also on-site space to park trailers, ATVs, and outdoor gear. For day trips, explore the historic town of Creede, approximately 22 miles away, visit Del Norte about 16 miles away, or plan a visit to the hot springs in Pagosa Springs, roughly 45 miles from the home. Winter visitors can head to Wolf Creek Ski Area, approximately 18 miles away, for a day on the slopes.

Whether you're here to ski, fish, ride the trails, explore nearby mountain towns, or simply relax beside the river, this spacious South Fork retreat brings together natural beauty, convenient access to local amenities, and year-round Colorado adventure.

Spacious home in South Fork

We are three families who travel together often. There are 11 of us (5 adults, 6 teens). This home easily accommodated us all. The family room has a large sectional couch with the large dining table behind it. We were all able to spread out and watch movies at night. There is also another small TV area with a small couch and arm chair in an additional room. Although the home was dated, some areas had been updated. The kitchen had top notch appliances, cookware, utensils and serving ware. There were plenty of plush towels, washcloths, and hand towels. There is a coffee maker and Keurig; however, bring your own drip coffee and Kcups as not much is provided. We asked about a crockpot before our arrival, and this was provided. The property is lovely and the hot tub was nice. Unfortunately, the fireplace was not working and we didn’t find out until we arrived. Apparently, it wasn’t working well for the previous occupants. A nice gift basket was included with some snacks, chapstick, town info and water. Darla, the property manager, was quick to respond to any issues. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Rainbow House

It is a nice place. Plenty of room for 6 of us. Sits close to the highway but it is quiet out on the patio. Patio sits right on the river and there are some pretty views. It’s right across the street from the grocery store and that was handy. We met the owner and he was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.

Great location

Across from the market and close to everything yet still away from other houses. Beautiful view in the backyard of the river and trees. House is gradually getting updated and was very clean

Nice large home close to amenities.

Great house with plenty of room and close to local grocery store! We loved the creek and the firepit in the back. Hopefully the owners can finish updating the house soon because it has a great layout and location.

Great house

Large, comfortable house that we enjoyed staying in while in South Fork. House had all the necessities our week long stay (cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, towels, blankets, and hot tub). We really enjoyed staying in the Rainbow River House cabin.
