This is a spectacular boutique hotel! The views of the coastline and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms cannot be beat. This is 5-stars for the room views, the service, the updated exquisiteness of the décor, and the added amenities (pool, balconies, outdoor dining, access to oceanfront restaurants, etc. Don’t expect a Sheraton or Hilton type place….this isn’t that, and you shouldn’t be here looking for that here. Lovely location, brilliant for parking, wasy walking to train bus or ferry…room was amazing, staff, especially Claudia, were friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

The path winding through the cliffs to the small bar and lounge chairs along the water is very unique. Very small wading pool on upper terrace. Classic double room was small and non-descript. Disappointed with the size of balcony and the sea view from room!

This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer. This hotel was above and beyond... from the second we walked in, the staff ensured we felt like we are on vacation. They assisted us with as many things as possible. Great location less than a block from the main plaza. Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. Only a few blocks to the train station and bus stops. Many great restaurants nearby. Best breakfast buffet in our whole 26 days in Italy. Left a jacket and they had it sent to our next hotel on Capri for a minimal charge.

I absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed there several times and wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. The location is so convenient to the square and right in the middle of al the activity. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast is always delicious. Mario does a wonderful job making sure everyone has anything they want for breakfast.

Great staff- friendly, helpful with planning our day and referring us to local places based in what we requested or were looking for. Nice little bar. Great morning breakfast buffet. Nice pool area and patio in front of hotel to enjoy a cocktail. Beautiful views of the ocean. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was one of the best in our month-long trip to Italy. Very comfortable, close to everything - town, ferry, train, but not noisy or crowded area. Great for walking. The staff at the hotel were always helpful and friendly. In addition to great breakfast and view of Mt Vesuvius, the hotel was visitor-friendly with retractable clothesline in the bathtub, much appreciated! Also two pools, one good for laps, which is always nice.

Once you enter Sorrento, it's not too far to the right turn to the gate of Il Rosetto. You have to buzz in for them to open the gate. The owners/hosts meet you out front and, since we had a car, direct you to parking. Our room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking orchard, and town/mountain view to the back. Nice lighting. Beautiful property picturesquely situated on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Napoli. Excellent customer service at the front desk, restaurant and bar. Conveniently located just a few local train stops from Sorrento and approximately 25 minutes from Pompeii. Driver available to bring you to the train station and local restaurants at no extra charge.

Our stay was amazing, everyone that worked there was pleasant, helpful and extremely accommodating especially Julia, Rosella and the chef/breakfast guy. Our room was always clean, the breakfast was OUTSTANDING and the shuttle was super helpful. Thank you for making our honeymoon stay a beautiful memory.
