"The views, the serenity and quietness of the area, the simplicity of the home, and the amenities like hottub and firepit all stood out. The yard is very beautifully landscaped and maintained. The ease of access right off a main road was nice too, as we did venture to explore other areas which were off the beaten path on lengthy gravel roads. The host was extremely welcoming and accessible if needed though we did not require anything. It was a great place to reset after the busy holiday...

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The continental breakfast was fresh, well-stocked, and a great way to start each morning. What really made our experience special was the outstanding staff. My son accidentally left his favorite toy behind, and the staff went out of their way to find it and return it to us. Their kindness, honesty, and helpfulness meant so much to our family. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable—we look forward to coming back!"

"This was a gem of a home to rent. The owners are super great at communicating and everything went smoothly! The property was beautiful and we have no complaints at all. I cannot say enough about the view!!! Boathouse was awesome to be able to use, with a great location on the lake. The beds were pretty good, rentals usually do not have good beds but I slept great! The yard down to the water is a bit steep, not a problem just a heads up if you have elderly guests with you. They have done a great job making a walkway down to the water. Oh and the fire pit was awesome!"

"Property was AMAZING. Family friendly cabin, with lots of space to entertain. Your far enough off the grid to enjoy piece and quiet, but also close enough to a small community if you need to run and pick something up. Host provides everything you need. HOPING to utilize again in the near future.Plus, coffee on the porch in the morning,and watching the deer come within feet of the cabin.... AWESOME"

"We wish we could have stayed longer! It was clean and fun and beautiful. The lake was pure heaven. Only issue is that we asked for a late checkout on the welcome text we received, and we were under the impression it was approved. But apparently the text is a bot and not a method of communication (why use it then??) The owners then sent a message on the app on the very last night, quite late (we were already in bed) that we couldn’t check out late. There was a distinct lag in the app messaging system (I don’t think that’s the owners’ fault) as we had been previously talking about the broken hot tub. So of course we didn’t see the message that we couldn’t check out late. We’re from the west coast, so we slept in the next day and were in the middle of a relaxing breakfast when the cleaners showed up. The owners were very nice about it and didn’t charge us, but it wasn’t very fun packing up seven people in thirty minutes, and not being able to take showers and really get ready for the day. It was hours until our flight and we had planned on more lake time, but instead we had nothing to do. A disappointing end to a truly delightful stay, that could have been avoided with better communication."

"Blue Heron Haven was exactly what my family needed. Kelly was amazing to work with. She was so willing to help with anything we needed and quick to respond if we had ANY questions. The private lot felt tucked away and so peaceful. A perfect atmosphere to unwind and relax, we spent hours on the dock. Swimming, reading, and watching the herons in the nest in the nearby tree. I highly recommend this rental, you will not regret booking at Blue Heron Haven!"
