「Outdoor smoking area (bench in the back) too close to room #125. As a recovering lung cancer patient, I found it difficult to walk the property. The woman in the room near me was sitting in a wheelchair smoking cigarettes while on her cell phone. You need to have some outdoor area that's free of outdoor ashtrays so we can walk in clean air.」
「Briar Barn is truly everything ne wants in a hotel stay- custom, fantastic staff, lovely extra ammenities (coffee, pasteries, water, great soaps/lotions). The best part for us was the comfortable bed, nice soaking tub and sitting in front of the fire in our private room on our 17th anniversay!! The entire site is thoughtfully decorated with antiques that intrigue, and the "bones" of Briar Barn remain new and contemporary- so refreshing!!! We will most certainly be back!」
「I dont know how it usually works at hotels in the area, but I arrived at the hotel around 5PM and no one was around. I found a room key and a note and I let myself into the room which was located right by the counter So when people were checking out in the morning, I could hear everything and woke me up.
I also stayed at other hotels in the area, and by comparison, the price here was higher.
So, I cannot say it was a good experience.
Other than that, the room was neat and in the great location.」
"The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, and things got so bad that all the guests had to evacuate outside.
Fire engines even showed up and it all started to escalate.
But the hotel didn't even apologize.
And of course they didn't refund our money.
Shouldn't they change the price of the room?"
"This hotel is clean. Also, I lost my wedding ring on this trip, but the staff (housekeeping?) found it for me. It was a miracle. The staff at this hotel are trustworthy."
