"Are room was ok. There was an unusable beach. The smell was terrible. The restaurants were not kid friendly and made no effort to accommodate a 10 year old. Had 3 different menus and wouldn't cook anything that was on the bar menu that used the same kitchen. All kinds of additional fees at checkout. Wouldn't go there again. No more inclusive resorts for me. To many added fees."

"I really hate to leave a negative review, but our stay wasn’t enjoyable. The good news is that we were so busy, we weren’t in the room except in the evening. First, my biggest pet peeve while staying in hotels is hair in the bathroom, which did occur here. Unfortunately, the bigger issues, though, include the size of the room and the paper-thin walls. The studio is far too small, because it’s crammed with oversized furniture. You can’t even walk around the bed without banging your leg on the edge (must have been a huge problem, because there are protectors on the corners). Worse than that, we had neighbors arrive the last night we stayed. We could hear every word they said, we heard them unpack, and even heard what sounded like plates being stacked (there are rooms with up to 2 bedrooms and kitchens). It was infuriating when trying to sleep. The beach view was beautiful and I would have enjoyed the pool more if it wasn’t for the stink of rotting fish coming from the shoreline. I understand this is not the fault of the hotel, but I swear the stink was so bad that it would be in the back of your throat for hours. Although it was generally in a good location and parking wasn’t a problem, I wouldn’t stay here again."

"The rooms are nice. They provide necessary amenities and are cleaned well. Not a lot of space, but fair for a motel setting. There is loud music next door at a bar, which I enjoyed, but that’s something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper. The staff was helpful and this area of the island was very nice. Overall, it was a nice stay!"

"We were really disappointed by the beach. It’s rocky and was covered in seaweed (during our visit). The pools are beautiful, staff was lovely. The room was enormous and well maintained. I just wish we had more transparency regarding the condition of the beach."

"This is a wonderful old mansion. I love that they did NOT modernize it to the point it’s lost its charm and character. The staff were amazing. The room was nice, clean and cool with a nice view. I would highly recommend staying here. The only negatives experienced is the noise level. Be prepared to hear propane trucks at 6 in the morning stopping at the cafe and the smell of the seaweed can get pretty rough. So if you’re a light sleeper (which unfortunately I am) or if your sense of smell is sensitive, you may not want to stay here. I would give the entire experience here an 8 out 10. I’d give it a 10, but the “traffic and smell” can get to be a little much. However if “old homes” and having an amazing cafe (which serves amazing food, just a few feet away) sounds good to you, thus is your place."
