Stayed here overnight for a wedding. Room was clean and they allowed us to check in early with no fee. Location is ideal, being walking distance from a Cracker Barrel and a breakfast place. Stores like Target and Walmart are only about a 5 minute drive.

All was great and the Staff, 2 Gentlemen,both African Americans were very nice, helpful and even called because they had 2 reservations for me. I appreciated them and check in was great. Very helpful and friendly. I’ll stay here again. It was cleanly and comfortable and convenient.

Overall, I had a good stay. The room was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, although the shower could have used a bit more attention during cleaning, as there were still some hairs from the previous guest on the floor and shower wall. Aside from that, everything was well maintained. One small downside was the refrigerator, which was quite noisy and seemed like it might be nearing the end of its lifespan. The service was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.

There wasn’t even a pen to write a note to the housekeeper to ask them not to leave my trash in a bag on the tv table. The microwave turntable was misaligned; the shower barely worked. I had to ask several times, but the evening desk clerk eventually came and made some adjustment to the shower faucet that improved the pressure the second night of my stay. The place is old and in dire need of some renovation, particularly the bathroom fixtures and the mattress (at least in Room 123). The sink drains slowly as well. On the plus side, the staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was pretty good. Also, the room seemed clean except for the housekeeper leaving a bag of trash on my tv table one day. Putting trash on the furniture is probably not a good idea, although I’m sure it was not done intentionally. And I did not let it affect my daily tips for the housekeeper. Air conditioner worked ok, but the first night I was there, a barking dog probably in the room next door woke me up way too early in the morning. Overall, 2 stars seems about right, for the reasons stated in my initial review and this update.
