10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel very close to the Mount Akadake cable car. Location is gorgeous, in the Sounkyo gorge area. The onsens look out onto the mountains and offer a spectacular view. The hotel itself is nice - albeit a bit tired and old. Could do with some modernisation - but helpful and friendly staff and gorgeous location make up for it."

"Floor bedding low cushion seats were difficult to use with bad knees but everything was clean and provided for all our needs. Takes getting used to even ordering meals the day before wirjs in a tiny town with few restaurants with limited hours"

"Nice private baths. Very friendly and helpful staff. There's a 7-11 just across the road. Too bad the Sounkyo ropeway was under maintenance during our stay."
