1. Machiya Hotel Oyado Baison

Mino

"Excellent boutique hotel. It was beautiful inside and very intimate. The little cafe was cozy and had snacks all day long plus coffee and tea. There is a private onsen and little garden. I sadly missed the breakfast that they offered to us as i was so tired and comfy in the bed i had trouble getting up. The room was beautiful with great amenities and drinks for you. Top Shimohara Hotel Reviews

Kawakamiya Kasuitei

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The kaiseki provided was very tasty and local, with staff who are knowledgeable about the food and the area. The indoor and outdoor onsen were comfortable and relaxing. We had a good time and enjoyed some very reasonably priced and tasty umeshu while there. Highly recommended!"

Gero Onsen Yukyunohana

10/10 Excellent

"The highlight of our Japan vacation. The room was vintage Japanese w/the tatami mats & in-room onsen. The food was absolutely awesome w/variety & taste that were unforgettable. The outdoor public bath was the perfect end to the day. Staff was courteous & helpful. The town was a short 5-10 minute walk. Highly recommended!!!"
