I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Shanghai. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a comfortable and relaxing environment. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with thoughtful amenities and a very comfortable bed. Only a minor issue was the noise from heavy traffic from highway nearby.
The room is clean and comfy. The staff is friendly and efficient. The property location is good for exploring the Former French Concession neighbourhood and its many eateries, shops and attractions.
Excellent location for city walk close to Wukang and Yuyuan road. Everything’s new and clean. Nice gym and swimming pool facilities. Will certainly recommend it to my friends.
Newly renovated hotel with large rooms and modern facilities. Restaurants and bars are great with many food and drink options. The hotel is located in the center of the city and has easy access to many transportation facilities. Recommended!
The hotel room is lovely and very comfortable bed. The only thing I want to highlight is the breakfast, food is limited choices and the service without smile.
I really appreciated how every staff member and to name a few names that we can remember - Sabrina and every staff in the executive lounge, the new executive chef Matt, and his team of waiting staff and chefs, conceige staff Mark and his team. We had a rocky trip because my husband became unwell in the trip but their caring and personable attitude with the willingness to go the extra mile has eased the pain to some extent. A big Thank You 😊
A reliable and well appointed hotel. Some staff are more friendly and helpful than others. The area surrounding the hotel is not the best, although it is a short walk to Jingan which has a great temple and upmarket shopping.
The hotel has just finished renovation for a few months, everything is new ( colleague say that their rooms has always been good tho), room is spacious and comfortable. Among everything I appreciate most about the air conditioning, it is very responsive but also quiet enough for sleeping.
Also, their staff are extremely nice and helpful ( and Thank you Simon for staying with us at the entrance the whole time while we wait for the airport pick up :D )
I moved here from another hotel because Shanghai can be trying when you don’t have a nice place to go back to each night.
The hotel was lovely. Clean and great staff. It could do with a few nicer add ons like - a spa/massage service and more than one beer in the fridge and only pringles as a food option in room.
Location is good but can be a pain to get DiDi from.
Genuinely nice hotel though. I would stay there again.
I stumbled on Hilton city hotel and decided to try it. My first impression was wowed by the Guest Eervices Manager John, he was extremely personable and went the extra mile to do check in and escorted me to the room. He also offered any assistance in case I need, this is excellent and I definitely recommend my colleagues and myself will return. Well done Hilton City Hotel and kudos to John!
Very new refurbished hotel so all in excellent new condition. Each room has a Dyson hair dryer. Breakfast buffet has a great selection. Very clean and helpful staff.
Some rooms are a little louder as they don’t have sound proof window glassing and it’s right next to highway. Room service is very limited and I ordered in the restaurant as I couldn’t work it from room.
Didn’t try out the pool but it looked amazing.
Other area to improve would be to offer a pillow selection. Mine felt very hard.
Overall great stay.
I recently stayed at the Hilton Shanghai City Center for a business trip and was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail throughout my visit. The location is exceptionally convenient, situated in the heart of the city with easy access to major commercial districts.
The hotel staff demonstrated outstanding hospitality—efficient, courteous, and always ready to assist. My room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and designed with business travelers in mind, offering a comfortable work space and high-speed internet access.
Meeting facilities were modern and well-equipped, making it easy to conduct business smoothly. The breakfast selection was diverse, fresh, and catered to both international and local tastes.
Overall, the Hilton Shanghai City Center exceeded expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend it to fellow professionals seeking a reliable and comfortable base for their business travel in Shanghai.
