Great base to explore Sendai from, right near sendai station and clis road shopping arcade. 30-40 minute walk from the mausoleum and castle. Great facilites, but bear in mind, this is a local spot. Not in a trendy way. Local spot for salary men and college kids to bathe bathe after work/school. Wouldnt reccomend for large groups/ partygoers, as the baths get quite crowded during peak hours. Also, those who dont like a firm matress might have a hard time sleeping.

My stay at Ropos was one if the best. Its very clean and has great amenities like the spa. It even has a good selection of manga to read. Its a bit hard to find in the shopping district, but overall is a wonderful place to stay.

Staff were brilliant. They all were really welcoming and helpful. The location is grate being close to Sendai station as well as right on a bustling shopping street. The pod hotel was big enough to sit up in and came with a locker large enough to store a backpack. What made this stay really shine was the spa on the top floor. The hot tub and outdoor baths were really special to be able to relax in.

A Rest Stop in a Large Commute

I decided to stop in Sendai for the night during a trip from Hokkaido to Tokyo. This hotel was a good stop. It is surrounded by shops and a close walk to the train station. This capsule hotel was also very busy as I assume a lot of people use it as a rest stop during business or travel as well. So do expect foot traffic going in and out of the rooms in the early morning and late night if you’re a light sleeper.

I think I got everything I expected for the price paid, if not more. Coin laundry didn’t work too well but I didn’t expect to have a laundry to begin with so can’t complain. They helped me when I told them it wasn’t working.
