"The whole experience staying at this hotel was wonderful. My German isn’t very good but I always feel you should try to speak the language of the country you are staying in. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and very professional and patient with my attempts to converse in German. The room was excellent for the price and the breakfast was more than sufficient with excellent choices. I would recommend staying at this hotel."

"I had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well prepared, and everything was exactly as described. "Habitación amplia con buena cama. En la noche hacía mucho ruido no se si era el ac o que, pero era ruidosa. El AC se apagaba en la madrugada con lo cual hacía mucho calor y tenía que levantarme a encenderlo otra vez. Bien ubicado cerca al casco viejo"

"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."
