"I wish that there were activities to do solo. Kayak or something. I’m a solo traveler. Lovely area. Very well maintained. Food was excellent. Staff was fantastic. Everything easy to find and manageable. Very quick to service needs. I came in from a horrible resort to here due to lack of water, electricity. They got me into an area to shower and a drink in hand asap. Really turned my vacation and vibe around. Great pool bar, beautiful beaches and area. 4.7 stars. The behavior from a minority of the black bracelets (you wear red or black, black has a butler) was appalling. They must have never travelled or seen anything anywhere before, VERY obnoxious behavior. "

"The resort was nice but do not expect a five star resort. The room was clean but had to ask the front desk for fresh towels after two days since there was no room cleaning until we asked for fresh towels. The room needed some repairs as the door handle was very loose and the sliding doors (bathroom and patio screen door) were difficult to slide as they are old and the track is not in the best condition. The beach was very nice and the food was good. It was a bit frustrating that the only restaurant besides the buffet place was booked very quickly. Had to wait in line in the morning to secure a reservation for the evening so you had to get up long before the reservation desk opened to stand in line. We stood in line for a half an hour and the person in front of us went up to the counter and it was fully booked so she and us and the rest of the people behind us missed out. They need a better system. Also, the majority of the staff seemed irritated and bothered if you asked them anything. They just didn’t seem happy which I don’t expect every one to be happy all the time but it was noticeable that most of the staff have the impression that they didn’t want to be there. Not sure if it’s like that at other resorts there. We made the best of it and it seemed after I talked and joked and tipped the staff, their mood became a bit better. "

"Hotel was awesome!! Clean rooms. The bartenders awesome as well!! Q and andre the dynamic duo!! Restaurant was ok , could be better. The lobster was great though!!! Would go back. "

"This place is terrible, and horrible. Inside and outside. I could not even stay there. False advertising nothing like the pictures or what is stated. The owner attitude stinks. Then because I did not stay there because of how run down the place is. She said the money is non refundable and if I did not do my research. She is definitely not showing me real condition of that place or surroundings. Because no one will book Ellen Bay. And the location is very far off in the country. If I could give all zeros I will."
