「I had a wonderful five night stay here. The location is convenient but in a quiet area. Parking is included and an easy walk down a block and around the corner. I parked my car and never moved it. Everything is very clean and tidy. The staff is very helpful with all arrangements. The guests were all lovely and shared some good ideas about things to do and see. 「Didn't have extra sheets in the lake house, floors seemed like they could have use a good sweeping and mopping, it was a great location for downtown, plenty of space in the lake house, just really needed more towels, sheets, coffee and cream, usually the first evening we get there we use the laundry detergent provided, coffee, cream, salt and pepper till we get to the store in the morning none of that was available. I would definitely stay here again though I'll just make sure I've got that...

「Charm and location. The room we stayed in was truly like being home (we live in an 1892 Victorian) and we instantly fell in love with the decor. Unlike the "brand name" lodgings that we've become accustomed to The Powder House was the antithesis of the sterile institutional cookie cutter banality. The "staff" was charming, beyond hospitable, and very proud of the quality of the experience created for the quests. One comes to St. Augustine because of the history and a desire to go back in time...

「You won't find a nicer and more relaxing place to stay. We stayed in the 'light green' portion, with river-facing room on the second floor, with a beautiful view of the Bridge of Lions, and all the boat going by, (and the often present 'pirate ship') . Staff was wonderful. The Vale parking folks were super fast and the bartenders were great. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and shopping. Don't look elsewhere.
