The rooms have been renovated and are lovely with the river view. However, they continue to use wall air conditioning units which are extremely loud. We had too turn it off at night to enable us to sleep (even with ear plugs)! Fortunately it was cool enough at night to open the sliding door for the night.
The last day of our 4 night stay, we approached the maid for the 2 bottles of water they leave every day after cleaning your room. She requested our room number and when we returned to the room at the end of the day we found the room had not been cleaned. We went to the front desk and nothing was offered to correct this situation. Upon check out we requested an accommodation for this and Gina said she would have to get permission from the owner - who happens to be out of town for a week. A week later we followed up with Gina and she says she has not been able to discuss with the owner.
This last night we paid an extra $100 for the room over the previous 3 nights because it was a Friday night. We don't feel we are out of line requesting a clean room with fresh towels for our stay.
Very disappointing way to end what should have been a lovely stay.

Loved view of intercoastal and bridge leading over to Old St Augustine from our balcony. Breakfast was much better than other breakfasts that most chains offer. Staff was so nice and helpful. A unique experience.

View was spectacular. All staff members were extremely helpful and pleasant. Convenient to downtown. Comfortable room.
Stairs to breakfast quite slippery after rain. Found that out the hard way. Overall our stay was outstanding and will definitely return.

As a first-time solo traveler, it was important to find a hotel that provided great hospitality and, most importantly, made me feel safe. Marker 8 and hotel provided this to me. The hotel is located walking distance to beautiful landscapes in the area.

We loved everything about this hotel! The staff. The view. The proximity to downtown. The restaurants within walking distance.
Need I say more? Yes, yes I do! The breakfast and the social hour appetizers prepared by Chef Angie and her staff have forever ruined hotel breakfast for us! Every day we had three made to order options at breakfast and there were three different appetizers at the social hour. Everything was absolutely delicious!
It's not often we stay till check out time on our last day of vacation... but we did! We were enjoying every minute of that glorious view from our balcony.
We will be back!

The place was great. Clean, remodeled, friendly staff, but most of great views of the bay. It’s a short walk across the bridge to all of the shops and eating. Overall it exceeded expectations and would stay there again. The only downside is that the surrounding area was not great.

Marker 8 has a beautiful view of the marina. Check in staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was delicious. Parking just steps from room. The big negative, dirty floors! I left my shoes on until changing for bed. A brief 30 minutes in bare feet, dirty. When I brought up to 2 different front desk staff, they were aware. Was told that person assigned to clean floors, not working that day. “We are getting done as rooms empty “.
