"The only thing we did t like was the room that we picked was noisy we could hear the air conditioners coming on and off. You could not hear them with the tv in but when you went to bed. We were I. 302. Other that that, we would go here again. Just ask for a different room. They were not aware of this when we checked out . You can hear the rumblings when one of the six units was working ."

"The Salty Dog is a wonderful vacation home and was exactly as advertised. The few minor issues we brought to the owner’s attention were promptly addressed and did not negatively impact our stay in any way. The home was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The sunrise views were absolutely unbeatable, and the easy beach access was a great bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend The Salty Dog to others!"

"There was plenty of room. The pictures make it look much better than it actually is. Bedding was clean, but couch had a lot of stains. For a cabin at the beach, I was not bothered by this. This is not a fancy high-end place to stay, but it was comfortable and convenient. The only problem was that the porch needs some serious upgrading. A child could easily fall through the spindles that need to be reattached to the porch. One person in my party stepped on a nail that was coming up from the porch, but was not hurt thankfully. Even with its flaws I would stay here again."

"Wonderful place to stay, it was very well stocked, however, the place could have been a little cleaner at check in, it looks like the cleaning crew does a poor job of clean up after people check out."

"This small home could use some TLC lacking upkeep. nice area beach with in steps .washer didn’t work that was a big problem due to the length of our stay ( at least let it be known that it isn’t working instead of putting detergent out to stage as if it works ) Tile missing from living room floor . Not a biggie!! WiFi issues reached out to host very prompt responce and issue was resolved,, water bugs screen door won’t stay closed you have to reclose and reclose so it’s just easier to close the main door that wasn’t idea for us.. , patio furniture is old cracked and unsafe useable but unsafe , shower stall very small low water pressure ,, kitchen items out dated old,under cabinets and in drawers smelled , couch caves in when you set down so don’t even think about relaxing and having a drink on the couch , The living room chairs are nice and beds are comfortable the stove and refrigerator and television works well ..We have stayed at several homes on Galveston beach same area and payed around the same price range this house needs some moderate repairs and maintenance and would be a great option .. I feel like the price and quality didn’t match.. Who ever owns this home should really keep this gem maintained this little house has a lot of potential…"
