Busta House was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Shetland.
We stayed in the Noss Room, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like we had landed somewhere genuinely special. The house itself is beautiful—historic, full of character and atmosphere, and exactly the sort of place you hope to find when travelling somewhere like Shetland. It doesn’t feel manufactured or overly polished; it feels authentic, warm and wonderfully connected to the place and its history.

「We got there at 1:30pm after the ferry and it wasn’t the warmest welcome. The staff didn’t even ask our names. We were told to come back for the agreed upon 3pm, with no acknowledgement of the room status or if they were working on it.
It left a bad taste.
The rest of the stay was fine, but truly we did not feel welcome.」
