「My husband and I had 5 glorious nights at the Bothy and wished it could have been longer. Juliet and her husband were really helpful and accommodating, the apartment was lovely and comfortable, and quintessentially English, and we both fell in love with the sheep. 「There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. 」

「Lovely bungalow with a secure garden for the children to play out in. The location is perfect, really quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind in the countryside. 「Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. 」

Interior is a bit outdated but matches the rental fee. Easy contact with host. 「As ever, heavenly! We spent a lovely 5 days at barn acre. The weather though changeable was excellent and gave us a chance to continue to explore the area. Bolton castle is a must. We were able to return to barn acre knowing that it is a wonderful base. Everything you need for a very comfortable visit. This is our third visit and won’t be our last. We thank the owners for their cosy home from home and their lovely welcome package.」
