"The lady at the front desk was very nice. We were staying at the hotel because we had a graduation to go to. We got back to the room after 9 when the office closed. My room was very clean, except ALL you could smell was moldy, musty, like the rug was washed or the roof leaked and the room was closed up. I slept with the blanket over my face to block out the smell. I woke up at 2, 4, and by 6:03 I couldn’t handle the smell anymore, threw my belongings into my car and got out of there. I have been nauseous for the past 6 hours. I will never EVER stay there again"

"Acadia Bay Inn is a peaceful oasis away from the crowds of Bar Harbor and many top attractions of Mount Desert Island. The Inn is warm, inviting, spacious and impeccably clean. Host Nicole and Matt are friendly, gracious, and very helpful in providing suggestions on activities and restaurants. Nicole creates delicious, beautiful breakfasts and afternoon snacks and Matt is a thoughtful server. We stayed in Jasmine and it was wonderful! More spacious than the online photos capture, we had lots of room, incredible views, and very comfy furniture both inside and on our private deck. The only mistake you can make is not booking enough nights. There is so much to do and see on both MDI and the Schoodic Peninsula, be sure to leave yourself enough down time to truly enjoy this wonderful inn."

"The hotel was great— I had neighboring people that were loud way beyond quiet time— sun rises at 445am— if this is your sleep in day, pick a back room as people are up and making noise— sun rise is beautiful, just early"

"Beautiful place, amazing ocean views with private beach, newly landscaped. Kitchen fully stocked from dishes, pans to spices.Very comfortable beds, soft linens & towels.Handicapped ramp into home, with walk in shower.Would absolutely rent again! Dottie & BFFs"

"We just spent two weeks at this beautiful property with an amazing view. The beds were very warm and comfortable. The accommodations were as noted and perfect! Supplied us with enough toilet paper and paper towels, and trash bags and laundry detergent and dishwashing pods linens were of excellent quality heated floor in the downstairs bathroom was a nice surprise. This was our second time staying at this property book it, and you won’t be disappointed."

"This cabin is truly one of a kind. The location right on the water is spectacular, with beautiful views and the soothing sound of the water just steps away. The décor is exceptional, thoughtfully designed, charming, and full of unique touches that make the space feel special. One of the most memorable features was the outdoor bathroom, which was surprisingly fun and added to the overall character and experience of the stay. If you’re looking for something distinctive and unforgettable, this cabin is a gem."
Quiet and Cozy Seaside Cottage with Amazing Sunsets

"We had an excellent stay over the memorial day weekend. The location was lovely and the hiking trails nearby were less crowded than Acadia and we had a great time. The evening visits from the family of deer exactly around sunset was a bonus. The cottage was well stocked with utensils, music, book and video collections."
