Called in before hand to confirm my late check in which was around 1230am and was assured that the time was fine and also confirmed that breakfast was free/included.
This is my second time staying at a DoubleTree, Binghamton was my first (great experience). I check in and the front desk told me breakfast was not included and I was misinformed.
Not the same welcoming experience as Binghamton, and no cookies which I thought was the hotels primary niche.
It was late so we get to our room (my wife and toddler) thought we would just follow up in the morning.
Morning comes same thing and they confirm breakfast is a la carte and not included. The interesting thing was we were not the only ones ill informed.
Two other families during breakfast I overheard having the same issue with the misinformation.
We ordered anyway since we were there already. Breakfast was 1/10 and I can’t say anything good about it. Very pricey for what you get, two plates and coffee for $50+ included tip.
We sat ourselves as no one was really tending to guests and there were only two servers.
Finally acknowledged and the orders took a while to come out and one order came out incorrect. Waitress resolved very promptly though.
There was one nice reception, I cannot recall her name but very sweet and welcoming who assisted with extra toiletries since they didn’t replace them when the bed was made.
Also provided extra bedding for our toddler since the first night was rough for him.
