Fantastic place to stay

Perfect location next to the pub which does fantastic food. Very high end cottage in both style & comfort, very clean too & having a courtyard for the dogs was great as we could sit outside with them. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful large home

Palladium House was stunning in every way. A truly beautiful home with everything you could need. The pub next door (The Mayfair) serves lovely food and staff were welcoming and polite.

Absolutely beautiful cottage well maintained and nicely decorated. The owners had thought of everything you might need including kitchen items and the welcome pack containing tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs, bacon, butter wine and crisps was such a lovely touch. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Home away from home

The cottage was immaculate, the photographs do not do it justice. I arrived at 3pm and called the number on the website. The recorded message said to check-in at the pub next door. The staff there were super friendly and helpful.I will definitely stay here again when I come over to Scarborough.

Perfect family stay in the lovely lodge…

Our stay at the Lodge was so lovely that we extended another night. The quality of furniture and decor is excellent. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we have stayed in when it came to utensils, it had everything you could think of to cook some lovely home family meals. The lodge was warm and cosy for our family of 4 inc our toddler and little dog, perfect for our relaxing stopover from Scotland back to London.

5th time staying at Five Star Stays and our 4th in The Lodge. We're already booked in for next year. I can't recommend enough. Communication is enough and you're left alone while staying unless you need help and then the staff are always willing to sort any issues out.

A great find - would recommend

Last stay as part of a uk road trip. This location was outside of Scarborough by 10 min journey which suited us more. This was a lovely end to our holiday. Everything you could need was provided. Having park across the road for kids to play and run around was a bonus. Pub next door for food - which can be delivered if you wanted to stay home. A luxurious feel at a reasonable price. Would stay again.

Overall a really great and comfortable stay

Really lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need for your stay, perfect location with family pub at the back, fish and chip shop within walking distance and shop with everything you need over the road. Really comfortable, beds were great, and great location. One thing that let it down slightly as its not clear where they actually are check in details do not give instructions I had to work out that you go into the Mayfield pub (google maps gives you wrong location) we drove up and down for a while before getting lucky and asking in the pub. A little more attention to detail on the cleaning and it would have been perfect.

Beautifully presented accommodation.

My family have stayed at this accommodation previously as a base for visit to Scarborough and north Yorks coast. It is superbly presented, with all facilities we could need for a relaxing few days away. Parking place was important to us as we had a guest with limited mobility and this was right outside of the home. We preferred the village location as opposed to being in Scarborough itself, very peaceful, even with a pub accessible from our back gate. The property was very clean and decorated to a high standard with extras like fans in the bedrooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to others, and will hopefully, be back soon.

We had a wonderful time staying at the lodge. We definitely felt like we were in a 5 star stay from the lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen to the generous welcome pack ! All bedrooms have an ensuite and Molton Brown toiletries. Bathrobes and lovely white fluffy towels. SMART TVs in each room as well means you can watch your fav TV if you’re desperate to catch up on something while you are away. The kitchen is very well equipped if you are cooking on your break however just over the garden wall is the Mayfield Hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to the carvery which was fantastic value and hit the spot . There is also a soft play in the hotel so the kids can have fun whilst you are dining. Backgarden is small but completely enclosed so if you have a dog with you it’s completely safe to potter out there . We enjoyed our stay so much we fully plan to book again in the summer . Definite 5 stars from us.

Beautiful, but noisy pub at the back

The property was lovely and clean, really homely. We would have loved to stay here again it was that lovely. Towels, robes, tea, coffee and milk all provided. How ever, this property backs on to a pub, which wasnt very clear in the booking page.We are a family of 4 with 2 young children, we weren't told there would be music blasting until 12.30 and then had to lusten to the rigmarole of drunk people getting home.not ideal after a 3 hour drive there, and with a 3 hour drive home the next day. The children couldnt get to sleep and were upset about the noise levels, we couldnt hear the tv! If you prefer a shower over a bath, i hope the site rectifies this issue as there was no hot water and the water trickled out of the shower. Real shame as this looked amazing! And for the issues we faced we can't justify the cost with having that level of noise at the back of the property.

Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect.
