This is a beautiful, historic, house. Doc was a treasure, offering suggestions for enjoying Savannah to the fullest. He served delicious breakfast, which always featured treasured recipes from Savannah’s past. It is perfectly located, within walking distance of historic downtown as well as the Riverfront shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and gracious hospitality.

We loved the breakfast prepared by the owner every morning. The southern food, such as sausage and Gullah baked grapefruit, is delicious and the conversation with the owner and other guests is very interesting and informative.
Gullah baked grapefruit with special antique (over 100 years) silver spoon.

Excellent overall experience. Will definitely visit again. Classic 19th century house filled with beautiful antiques thoughtfully placed. Lord of the Manor “Doc” and his wonderful staff enhance the overall experience. Breakfast is a delightful taste of old Savannah cuisine. Location couldn’t be better. Southern hospitality at its best!

Fabulous Savannah inspired breakfasts. Knowledgeable host who recommended various places to tour. Plus he was friends with most of the characters in the movie, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” So, you were privy to a lot of the backstories in regards to the book and film.

What a lovely historic home. We enjoyed Doc and all his stories and recommendations. He was very charming as was his staff. We loved how walkable and close it was to everything. It was very comfortable. We hope to visit again!

We loved this place ! And the host, “Doc” is so lovable and a great source of knowledge! We will definitely stay here again! A beautiful home filled with antiques! The parking is on site, Doc cooked our breakfast every morning… it was magical.
