Our stay was great! The property was very clean and matched the listing description perfectly. It's nicely updated but still has the southern Savannah charm. With 10 people in our group, we rented both units and had plenty of space - never feeling crowded, making it ideal for large groups. The only drawback of the property was the loud train passing by in the mornings. Highly recommend booking here!
Great experience! Plenty of space, beautiful home and great location!!
We were there for a wedding!! The house exceeded our expectations and then some! Plenty of space, very comfortable beds, tons of towels, clean and such a charming house!!We will definitely come back!!! Love love love the house!!!!
Our stay was wonderful. A large group came down for a Savanah Bananas game, we rented both units. Plenty of room for all of us. The beds were super comfortable. The house had the charm of an older home with modern updated kitchens and bathrooms. Only a few minutes away from the stadium or downtown. We would definitely try to stay here again when we come back to Savannah for another Bananas game.
We came to Savannah with a group of ten, five couples. This place was perfect for all of us, and the location and neighborhood is amazing. Super walkable to fun bars and restaurants, and right around the corner from the free trolley that runs all day to downtown and back. Hardly ever had to use an Uber. The only complaints were that the bedrooms were nice, but there is no storage for anything. Only one small closet. The blankets and sheets were clean, but there were definitely some spots in the place that were missed. Mostly in the bathrooms. The door locks also are a pain. Half the time they would not unlock. Be aware: there is a train that runs directly across the street early in the morning and goes through an intersection, so you can hear the train whistle. These issues did NOT detract from our stay. The place was still awesome and would definitely stay again if with a large group!
Easy location to get to… property is nicely updated and still has the charm… we had a few minor issues and the management was very responsive and corrected any issues! Highly recommended!! Great for families or couples
The property is well kept. Upon arrival, we had some issues with the upstairs AC, however, the property management notified us in advance that someone would be there to work on the unit before we arrived. The property manager responded to all of our concerns and made sure that the unit was operational & cooling appropriately. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Savannah area./Angela L.
Great & convenient location with super easy checkin and check out processes
Overall great place to stay and we would definitely come back again . I think our biggest complaint would be the inaccuracies in the posting description. The description said that the unit sleeps 12 and the first floor has a pull out couch. However, the unit sleeps 10 and does not have a pull out couch.
Kolin, the property manager was very helpful and was quick to respond and provide assistance when needed. Overall property was great. It is a historical home so you have to manage your expectations based on that. It was clean and the appliances were updated. We were there late June and it was hotter than normal so the AC had a hard time keeping up. This is expected especially in an older home. It is next to a train track so we were waken by the train noise in the mornings. In spite of the hot weather and the train it was a great experience and the property manager, Kolin was super nice and accommodating.
The property was decent and accommodated our group but there are things I feel that could have been better. The first thing we noticed driving up was the grass needed cutting, next there were small round holes in the floors (lower level) in some rooms about the size of a quarter that need to be filled in.....to keep critters and bugs out. The air conditioning filters were filthy. We checked them because the air conditioning seemed to be struggling to cool the upper level. The kitchen definitely needs pots. There was no pots!!! So please add some kitchen supplies. Some bedroom doors did not lock. Though there are TV's in the upper level and lower level living room areas I think it would be nice to have small TV's in the bedrooms. Overall, the duplex was fine. I could tell it had been updated decently though it is an older home. We did enjoy it's old charm.
Checking in was super easy! There was plenty of room for us all as we had both units. The washer and dryer was very convenient too. Our bed was comfortable and clean.
There is a train track that is about 50 feet from the house and it runs very early in the morning. Sound machines and ear plugs were beside the beds but it did not stop the house from shaking for 4 straight mins several times through out the night and into the early morning.
There was a few drinking glasses, silverware, and bowls but no dinner plates in the kitchen.
We shared the house with a colony of palmetto bugs. If you don’t know what those are google it. They are HUGE cockroach type bugs that would come out at night and frighten anyone walking barefoot. It’s not unusual to see one or two while in the south, but these numbers were excessive.
Oh! And the upstairs front bathroom decided to rain tiny shreds of newspaper through the ceiling vent our last night there. It came down in an explosive burst that absolutely frightened a female guest into a full on panic attack!!! We cleaned up a grocery bag full of debris and it continued to fall until we checked out. This is a huge health hazard as she also has asthma. We hope she’s going to be ok.
Overall, we love Savannah and will be back. The location was very convenient and the house was beautiful. We just wish the property manager had returned our call and addressed our issues.
Both units we very clean and beautiful. When we arrived we had trouble entering (our own fault) but a representative came from the rental office quickly. My only complaint was that the top unit’s air conditioning was broken and no one answered the on call phone after business hours. Our group had to split up and half of us had to stay in a hotel one night of our stay. The rental company had someone out the next day and it was fixed and they offered us a refund for that night. All and all beautiful home and great location.
