Contemporary Townhouse on Forsyth Park in the Historic District

This is a unique townhouse in Downtown Savannah. An entertainer's delight. Victorian in architecture, yet furnished with modern flair. Furnishings from DWR, Ligne Rosset, Savannah's 24E and other Italian lines.

Over 2,500 sq.ft of entertaining space.

The home has solid hardwood floors, a full kitchen with double ovens, an easy flow to a large dining room with seating for 10, a large deck with both charcoal and gas grills, 2 large bedrooms upstairs with walk-in closets and en-suite full bathrooms.

My family and I had an amazing stay and will certainly look to stay at Erwin's place again. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. More than anything, this place has the best location in all of Savannah and we are already making plans to book it again.

Erwin's townhome is in a great location with easy walking access to Forsyth Park, the historic district and the Starland District. The home is spacious. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for long-term stays. The photos are accurate. As a host, Erwin is responsive and helpful. We hope to stay there again soon!

Wonderful location! Beautiful home! This was our first time in Savannah as we rented this townhouse with another couple to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The owner was very easy to communicate and work with (even though he was in South Africa and there is a time difference) and my initial concerns about dealing with someone in another country were completely eliminated. He provided emailed suggestions for bars, taverns, restaurants, spas, etc. based on his personal experiences well in advance of our arrival. Although some were tourist spots, he also included places that the locals go so we took advantage of many of his suggestions. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Savannah!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in October for our annual girlfriend getaway weekend. This was a lovely home in a great location near Forsythe Park. We were able to walk everywhere in the historic district. The 2 upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were quite large. Very nice kitchen with everything you would need to prepare meals, however, that's not what we want to do when we go away! The outside stairs going into the 2nd floor (a permanent resident lives below, which was never an issue, never heard them) were a little narrow which may be a bit challenging for someone having trouble getting around. Our only suggestion would be to put blinds or curtains on the kitchen window, we felt a little like being in a fishbowl. Also, to housekeeping, I would make sure to leave plenty of toilet paper for guests! Found a 1/2 used roll in a cabinet above the washer. All in all, we'd recommend this property.

I had high expectations and it was even better than I had thought. The location is perfect, the decor is great, lots of space and privacy if 2 couples go. I LOVED having the patio and the park is right next door. There is also a laundry room in the house which was great since we have a baby. The is a walking closet in one bedroom, large enough to accomodate a pack N play so your young child doesnt have to share your room. The stairs to get to the condo are very sharp so this wouldn't be a good fit for older people and young children have to be careful. My only complaint would be that the internet wasn't working period. There was very brief times where it would be not consistently. Savannah is such a beautiful city! I have traveled the world and usually I dont like going to the same place twice (I'd rather see something new) but Savannah is the only place in the States I want to go back to.

We had a wonderful time. Location is right beside Forsyth Park with restaurants within walking distance. Probably should drive if going down to the main strip on the water. The only issue is that there are steep stairs to get into the apartment as it is on the second floor. This created a challenge for us since we had an older dog with us that is unable to go up stairs and weighs over 70 lbs. In addition to this, I wish it had been more clear in the description that there are no bedrooms downstairs (Once you get up the steep stairs that you enter the apartment, the apartment itself is 2 stories). Both bedrooms are upstairs.. so my parents ended up sleeping on the couch. The other negative was there was no spare toilet paper?? This didn't make any sense and was maybe an oversight by the housekeeper. They only provide 2 towels per bedroom. So if you stay more than a day make sure and buy detergent (They don't provide this either) so you can wash the towels. Parking was hit or miss as you have to park on the public parking on the side of the road so first come, first serve. That said, we had not problems with the parking and we had 2 cars. The negatives were minor inconveniences, but worth noting for anyone considering to stay here. Overall the place is wonderful and the beds are pretty comfortable.. The big plus is the location for this property.

We loved our stay at this property. So close to Forsyth and so quiet. The place is kept up very well. Huge kitchen and eating area. Large deck was very nice and private. Erwin was quick to respond when I had a question.

Savannah is not a cheap place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of River St. Taking a cheaper option often means taxis/ubers. Suddenly paying the bigger money is cost effective. This is a perfect location in a nice nice part of town. The Forsyth Park buzz in the weekends; 0.9miles to town is a good walk there and back but not too hard at all. Thank you Erwin, I would stay here again.

We were so pleased to find this rental that allowed our dogs to stay with us for over 2 months. The townhouse was very spacious and the location couldn't be better next to Forsythe Park. The kitchen also had full pots and pans, silverware, etc. Our only negative would be that the townhouse needs a full deep clean (walls, blinds, vents). And for long -term, the beds were not comfortable. For a short stay they would be fine. We really enjoyed our stay and our communications with the owners was excellent.

My wife and I stayed at Erwin's property and felt truly at home. The house is gorgeous and spacious with an open concept main floor and bedrooms upstairs, as well as a large deck in the back. The house is located in the best part of Savannah, in the center of the historic district next to Forsyth Park but just far enough from the tourist center to feel like a local. We've never been more sad to check out of a property and can't wait for another chance to visit!

Place was lovely and very comfortable to live in, especially for an extended visit. Very clean on arrival, check-in was super-easy, and great communication with Erwin and the housekeeper. Loved the deck, the nearby shops/restaurants-- Brighter Day, Local 11ten, Sentient Bean, and most of all beautiful Forsyth Park right down the street. Highly recommended!

I was pleased by the property both before I got there and after. The park was a real perk and with the squares north of us, we and our guests walked and walked. We utilized the free bus. We were there near a full month and so took advantage of the nearby Kroger and the further Whole Food Market. We shopped the market in the Park on Saturday Inside, the apartment is somewhat stark/modern; I'm more a nature boy who responds well with a chorus of colors, interesting fabric types and blends. Operationally, the place worked. Very good location. Quiet. Good communications; few were necessary. We really enjoyed the deck. The kitchen was well appointed. Kindness and responsiveness was demonstrated.

This is a beautiful townhome in a perfect location! The owner helped us out of a bad situation when we were there for clinical rotations for several weeks. The first property we rented was in disrepair and had mold. That owner (not VRBO) was not responding to our requests to make the place livable, so we found this townhome and the owner got us in the next day!! Can't say enough good things about the place! Wish we had found it the first time around!

The house was spacious, clean and located very near a stop for the free public transportation. We had our dog with us, so we loved having Forsyth Park so close by for walks. Loved spending time on the back deck. We did have some problems with the wifi. But overall we enjoyed our stay in this lovely house.

This property is a short block from Forsyth Park. We were able to walk to restaurants and historical sites. The house is well equipped, although more than one bath towel per person would have been appreciated for our ten day stay. The house is beautiful and so typical to the area that we felt we had the real feel of living in Savannah.

The house is in a perfect location with the DOT stop a block away. We always felt safe in the neighborhood when traveling to and from town. The house is very comfortable with modern decor. The bedrooms are spacious with each a private bathroom. It was nice having 2 thermostats in controlling the temperature - downstairs/upstairs. The house is furnished with most of the necessities. We brought extra wash rags, detergent, and garbage bags. We would definitely come back and would recommend the house to others. It was a perfect home away from home.

8/10

The house is very well kept and equipped. The location cannot be beat. We made good use of the park and we were able to ride the free DOT bus into town eliminating any need for our car - parking was not a problem at the condo. We had a wonderful time in Savannah. Our thanks to the owner.

My wife, her mother, my parents and I were very comfortable in the apartment. We could spread out, and not have to be in each other’s face 24/7. We all loved Savannah. Lots of great food, coffee shops, and history.

Had wonderful stay in Savannah visiting family. The place we stayed at in historic district was perfect. Clean, quiet and within walking distance to many places. The owner , Erwin was most accommodating and got back to you right away. Made sure we had phone numbers to reach someone if needed. Also had nice list of things to do or visit while there. Forsyth Park was added nearby attraction. It was beautiful and we got to visit the farmers market on Saturday morning. The only thing I was disappointed in was that there were only 2 large bath towels & 2 washcloths per upstairs bathrooms. Extra towels and washcloths would have been nice. The kitchen was perfect to do some cooking to have family over. Extra kitchen trash bags would be nice to have in pantry cupboard. Savannah is surely a beautiful city!

I have been going to Savannah for many years both for business and pleasure. This was a business trip and though I would stay in a home. It exceeded my expectations. Erwin could not have been easier to work with. Plan to stay a month for work this fall. Rick
