I hate to say how much I love this hotel because it's a bargain and a gem that I don't want to lose. The staff were really nice. It has a wonderful restaurant. The architecture is old but really well preserved and updated.

The hotel has good access to the tourist spots. Breakfast is a hit or miss. Hard bread, have to beg to get a tiny micro plate of fruits. The room has a good bed, hot water could take 15 to 20 minutes to come out of the shower. The bathrooms are very small, same for the shower area. Overall nice staff. Asked for a late check out, told to pay $30 USD for 30 minutes. Overall not accommodating to provide a room upgrade. Breakfast is slow to serve and lacking variety.

The place is wonderful. It's like staying at an art museum. The staff is so kind and serviceable. Jose receives us with complementary drunks, and explained vwey well all our options. An excellent place however they did not have fresh sheets, and I asked them as they kindly brought fresh sheets and change the bed for me Staff is absolutely amazing and their service was bar-none the best. This was my sister and I first visit in the Dominian Republic and we decided to make an overnight trip in Santo Domingo from Punta Cana on Thurs Jan 23, 2025 and we're glad we did. Our stay at Empyrean was phenomenal, the service was impeccable. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and embraced with a big welcome and infectious smile by Joseph (Jose). He was friendly, hospitable and personable. I can't thank him enough. He made our trip memorable, he went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful for him. Other staff also were courteous, helpful and left a good impression on us. All the servers, housekeepers, the gentleman who served us our complimentary breakfast and coffee. I highly recommend this place. The art decor and attention to detail was wonderful; it felt like being in an art gallery!!! Thank you so much for all that made our stay enjoyable.
