In the quaint lakefront town of Santee, There exists a special place. Past Main street and down a country road, nestled in a modest lakefront community, with views of the majestic Lake Marion, we've worked tirelessly to create the perfect family retreat. No matter who you call family, our home is a unique space designed to strengthen bonds and deepen connections. Our guests at the Kindred Spirits Retreat experience more than just a beautiful home, they experience the joys of purposeful travel.
Please note that this is a smoke-free home, and that parties or gatherings over and above the stated maximum # of allowed guests, are strictly prohibited. Violations will incur a $250 fee.

Unauthorized early check-ins or late check-outs will incur a fee of $50/hour.
We pride ourselves on our quick response time when a guest need arises.
We are located in a modest, quiet neighborhood along the shores of Lake Marion.
Guests will receive an access code to allow for convenient self-entry using our keypad smart locks.

Great short stay
We just stayed for a night to recharge and hit the road again. It was the perfect place to rest for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs.

Great Stop on a long trip
Had a long trip up the east coast on I-95 and stopped at this nice secluded spot right off the interstate. Great backyard for the kids to play in with a view of the river.

Best hidden Gem in Santee
I cannot begin to say enough about this home! All the amenities one could think of. All the beds were absolutely comfortable, the house was immaculate and the back yard was super huge for our kids to play in. No better place in Santee than this. Must stay!!

Beautiful home at Lake Marion
Michael's home is just a few miles off I-95 coming from the south and just over a mile to get back on the highway. It sits one house from the lake and is beautifully remodeled. Michael the host is extremely helpful and very responsive. The home meets everything in the description and more. It's a large home with a fully fenced yard. We came with two dachshund puppies and and an adult dachshund and we felt very safe that there was no way they would be able to wander out of the yard. We only used one bedroom but the master has a large en suite full bath and there are two other bedrooms that share a bath. The kitchen, dining and living area are also large, warm and inviting with new appliances. We loved the between-the-glass patio door blinds. They are fabulous. The furniture and matress are very comfortable and the internet is great. Of course we came yesterday in early February but I think this would be a great place to stay when the weather is warmer on the largest lake in SC. Thank you Michael, looking forward to staying here again!

Communication with the owner, Mike, was outstanding. The house was clean and well stocked. I highly recommend The Lake House Restaurant. This house is located close enough to do day trips to Charleston and Summerville.

Great Lake getaway home!
The property is exactly as listed. Very cute decor, comfy beds and a modern look and feel inside. E wet detail was attended to and the host supplied the essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms which was great. Mike was very easy to reach and checked in a few times to ensure the stay was going well. The home was very clean, had a good view of the lake and just one street over you get an amazing sunrise view of the lake. The fenced in backyard was perfect for my dogs. The screened in porch is quaint and the neighborhood is quiet. Check in and check out we’re a breeze! Would recommend!
