As a seasoned traveler, I try to avoid leaving negative reviews but I have no choice here. Even before our stay, communication with Richard was not good. He avoided every question I had and took a confrontational tone. He refused to tell me how many towels were in the unit or how much toilet paper was supplied. Richard told me I asked too many questions and would I like to cancel my stay and get refunded. When we arrived, there were 2 rolls of TP for 5 guests. The toilet in the master bedroom was not working. I was told to jiggle the handle and then he blamed me for using too much TP. We arrived on Saturday and notified the property manager of the problem and we were told that the plumber would be there on Saturday. The plumber didn't arrive until Monday. The plumber replaced the toilet and told me this toilet has had problems for a long time and has not been addressed by the owner until now. Also, the air conditioning system was not working. Richard said to me that the cleaning crew told him the AC wasn't working after the previous guest left. If this was a known problem, why wasn't it addressed before we arrived? Richard offered that we stay in a 1-bedroom apartment on the same property above the garage which was not suitable for a party of 5. Good thing we didn't take him up on the offer because the apartment was booked. 2 days later a couple arrived and checked in. I was told we'd get a partial refund which has not been addressed.
