Great Location. Property was clean. Great sunsets! Room downstairs had bad mildew smell and does NOT connect to rest of house. Couch is NOT a hide-a-bed - only sleeps 6. More outdoor lighting needed for downstairs patio. Dishes and glassware very dated. Silverware was only good for 1 meal at a time - more needed. There were no basics such as Salt & Pepper shakers or even 1 dishwasher soap pod. Paint cans left in bedroom cabinet.
Great property for our family, loved the location. Very clean. The TVs and internet were difficult to use

WE loved staying at Noras Place. It was perfect to see the sun seting and so close to the beach!! The house was the perfect size for us.
We loved this place and it’s history. We were very disappointed that we paid for a 3 bedroom 3 bath house but only had access to 2 bedrooms and baths. It would have been nice to have the opportunity to choose which room we wanted for that kind of money.
Could not ask for a better location and view! The property was beautiful and we had the best time fishing from the dock and kayaking/paddle boarding to the beach. The view was amazing being so close to the inlet and having the ability to see the gulf in the background. It’s everything I was looking for (minus a pool) within our budget. I did have one issue that wasn’t so minor….the bedroom downstairs. The smell was so unpleasant and my daughter refused to sleep in it. When I called oversee, they sent a maintenance man out I’m guessing as soon as they were able to (3 days in). The maintenance man pulled the AC unit apart and from what I. Of tell it was full of black mold. He cleaned it and oversee quickly supplied us with a dehumidifier as requested. They also gave us a free night for the troubles which was appreciated. My dog loved the view from the balcony as much as we did. We fished a lot but only caught one scary barracuda in our crab trap. My only recommendation for the owner would be a clean grill (the grease caught fire when we lit the pit and we had to have the fire extinguisher handy just in case), pot holders for the kitchen, a full length mirror in all bedrooms (I finally found the one in the 2nd bedroom upstairs but that’s the only one), and getting a handle on air quality in that downstairs bedroom. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.
This was a wonderful rental property and the view you get as you park your car is spectacular and immediately puts you in vacation mindset! I went here for spring break with my family and when we arrived we were able to quickly participate in many activities (swimming in the lake, walking to the beach, and biking to dinner). When we got back from dinner, we were able to sit out on the porch and watch the most beautiful sunset. I love that this house is waterfront to the lake with a great view to the ocean. Each day we could decide if we wanted to stay at the house and fish, swim, or paddle board, go to the beach, set off on a walking/biking adventure, or do some combination of all. The beach is easy walking distance or a nice paddle/swim distance across. This was very convenient for us since we had a child and needed to take trips back and forth from the house to get lunch, take a nap, etc.... We enjoyed taking an outdoor shower after our adventures each day, sitting on the porch playing games, and biking/walking to get breakfast or dessert treats. The location of this house is great. You can walk or bike to many restaurants and it is between some other little communities which make it great if you want to do something in addition to the things I have mentioned above. We went to the Sunday farmers at Rosemary and drove down to eat and explore the Grayton beach area. I would highly recommend this as a vacation spot and we will definitely be going back!
I have an amazing God story to share! After probably one of the worst weeks I’ve had in my career, I was SO ready for our spring break beach vacation with 3 other dear families! Well, at 11pm the night before our condo reservation for the week at another property got cancelled due to water damage and they didn’t have anywhere else we could go so all they could say was “here’s your $ back” 😭. So after being up all night searching and searching but everything was sold out anywhere close to where our friends were staying. With no hope of being able to go on our vacation, at 8:30am I said ok just refresh the search one more time 🙏🏻 And this beautiful lake/beach home showed up being listed for the 1st time with just the right amount of space, at the same exact price and right next to all our friends!!!
God was preparing a place for us!! Isaiah 41:10-13
There were several things around the home that reminded us that Jesus was with us! It turned out to be one of the best places we’ve stayed. Ray was able to fish on the lake and the beach, and only 2 min walk down to the ocean!!! We had the most amazing sunsets and could see the ocean/beach right through the break in the houses!
We’ll be back!!
So we are familiar with the Eastern Lake area as we stayed here before ( but not on the water) so I was really happy when I found this home that had such an incredible water view!! The back porch was awesome and we enjoyed using the grill.
We also rode the bikes once which was so fun!!
If you are staying here during a busy season, I may even suggest renting a golf. Cart to avoid having to deal with parking a car!
Unfortunately, we had multiple issues with Oversee rental company, but they did help work out these kinks. First, we got into town later in the evening and the code to the door that was provided didn’t work. We had to the after hours number.
Also the provided wifi code didn’t work. But we also got that fixed.
Lastly, after paying a substantial amount of money for a 5 nights stay at a place, we would expect a few extra trash bags. All we were given was the bags in the actual cans. Also only 1 roll of toilet paper per toilet. Same with paper towels. I don’t think it’s out of the normal to provide guests more than 1 roll of toilet paper and a few extra trash bags. It was a huge inconvenience to keep going to the store…I did text the company and they brought some more trash bags since they “didn’t want to ruin my stay”
They did leave us some coffee but no filters. As well as a few pods for the laundry and dishwasher, but we still had to buy more.
There was also no soap at the kitchen sink to wash hands or liquid dish soap or counter spray
I would suggest to make sure to bring extra supplies for cleaning and trash and toilet paper etc.
I think oversee should spend a few extra dollars to make it a better experience for their guests because Nora’s Place is an amazing rental!!!

Laid back
The house was very “rustic”. We had a fantastic time, but would
Encourage some updates. The beach access was not very clear and a little bit of a trek. We loved having bikes and loved fishing off the dock!!!
I just wanna preface this by saying I am a thorough researcher when it comes to booking vacation rentals and I looked at practically every available option before booking this house. Now there were a lot of options that were more modern/updated and had more amenities but this place is all about the location. We were a little nervous at first because it seemed too good to be true, but when we got to the house we were just blown away. There is no way to overstate how amazing this location is. Literally have what feels like a private lake right in front that opens up to the ocean. Unreal views morning and night. It was so great to be able to walk out on the dock and fish or even swim in the lake (water is very clean). It was such a peaceful place (there is currently construction next door, which was slightly annoying, but kind of out of anyone's control -- there's a ton of construction in the area in general).
The house was well-appointed but very minimal. Nothing fancy, but the beds were comfy and sheets were clean. Not much in terms of kitchen supplies, but the basics were there.
Games were great to have for the kids.
Complimentary bikes were a huge plus and we used them every day.
This house is small. Perfect for a couple or two couples or a family with smaller children who can share a bed.
Property management was great. Super responsive and helped us whenever we needed anything.
Super easy walk (literally 3 minutes) or bike to the beach (multiple locations to choose to go to). You could even paddle board from the house to the beach if you want! Convenient location to bike or walk to great restaurants, coffee, ice cream, etc. It felt like we were on a separate little island from the rest of Seagrove.
This place is so cool. We had an amazing vacation there and I highly recommend for folks who like a laid back spot with just breathtaking views, option for fishing, and going to the beach.
It seems like this is one of the last of the more old school spots in the area, slowly being replaced by all the new mini mansion beach houses...so it felt like we were back in time a bit, which we liked.
Save old Seagrove!
