Yeah,this place rocks if you like a clean coastal town,with plenty to do in the area,this place does not have central Ac but there are a couple fans in the closet to use,drip coffee machine is perfect,this place is literally on the frontage road of the beach

Pleasant rest in Pacifica

My husband and I had a great 4 night stay at the little duplex cottage. It was exactly as described (just absent the washer & dryer as noted in description). It’s cute, clean and comfortable and we highly recommend it for a couples getaway. The neighborhood is sweet and has a small town feel. We enjoyed walking out on the pier each morning and evening and talking with the local fishermen. It’s also a good spot to head out on a coastal walk. So close and convenient to trails. My husband is undergoing radiation for cancer and it took us a short 15 minute drive each day to UCSF. Great to be so close to the city but out of all the traffic. Thanks for a great stay!

Sunny in Pacifica

The weather was perfect.This property is across the the ocean which leads to wonderful walking paths and hiking trails with amazing views. The unit is well appointed with all you need to cook, along with a variety of seasonings, coffee and tea. the couch should be replaced. We would definitely book again.

Amazing and cute little place

Cute, little, bright, clean, and right directly across from pacifica pier. Carlos was easy to contact and handled any questions we had. We will literally book this property again. Maybe not the best space for a family, but perfect for a couple, wanting a nice little California town to roam around in. Head down the pacific coast and enjoy all of it. There are many, many local trails, small mountains, and beaches to see. 5 stars.

The Mermaid was a fabulous place to relax in comfort by the sea! It was nice to get out of traffic and rush of the city to enjoy the beach.

Great Place

The property was beautiful and across the street from the water. Loved the convenience of the property. I only had one complaint as it was very chilly and windy outside and the fireplace did not work. TC was made to the property owner in which he suggested that the pilot might need to be lit and he would look for a video. He never got back to me and the one heater that was in the bedroom was on timers for only 30 minutes at a time. Plan to bring a heater if traveling in the winter.

Nice Getaway; Some Critiques

Pacifica is a great place to stay when visiting San Francisco - it is very close to small and big events and attractions but is a quieter, small town place for relaxing. Leading up to our stay, we had excellent communication. Upon our arrival, we found the house to be fairly clean, stocked with some snacks (which was great after several flight delays and a long travelling experience). This is a nice little place, but I also have some critiques. The photos make the property look much larger than it is. Pay attention to the 600 SF measurement. There is only one full bed and someone could sleep on the couch. This was not a problem for our small group, but it was disappointing based on the photographs. Second, the communication seemed automated. The last communication we received before arriving was a welcoming one. It offered assistance should we need anything. I responded the next day with two issues: the first issue was that the property had only two bath towels and there were three of us. I could not find any additional towels and I received no response throughout our 4 days with a solution. I will address our second issue in a moment. The next communication was automated at the end of our stay. The property is listed as "beachfront" and shows a front yard area. It may fit a definition of this somewhere, but be aware that the property is the back half of a duplex, and is behind the property that is across the street from the beach. The front yard is in front of the other half of the duplex. It did not appear that this area was open to our half, but since there was no live communication, I couldn't get an answer to this. There is a slight and angled view of the ocean from the bedroom window, and the property is very close to the pier - just across the street, so it is a great location to be near the ocean, but it's not beach front. Finally, on our first night, the glass coffee table fell over on our toddler and hurt him (the base was not fully extended and was not safe). I let the owner know this and there was no response at all, even asking if he was okay. Ever. Once I got home and began this review, I looked up the property and saw that the listing has been altered showing that children are not allowed here. Obviously my message was received, but no one thought to respond to me at all, even checking on him. That was the most disappointing experience about our stay.

Clean and cute and right across from the beach!

Very well equipped with all the amenities needed for my stay. Love that it is across the street from the beach and I could walk every day along the "boardwalk" and the hiking trails up the hill. The unit is extremely clean and well-cared for. Looks like a very recent remodel. It had everything I needed and I appreciated the snacks and wine. Thank you!

Great stay!

The place was exactly as expected with great amenities. The backyard is incredible, and you are just steps from Pacifica Pier. Would definitely visit again!
