Watch the sun go down over San Diego from your own rooftop. Then wake up 10 minutes from Old Town, SeaWorld and the airport, 15 from the Zoo, the beaches and downtown. Four real bedrooms and a 2-car garage, whether you're two or eight.
THE ROOFTOP The rooftop is the reason to book this house. Head up the private staircase from the second floor to 360-degree views, room for the whole group, shade umbrellas for hot afternoons, and soft lighting for after dark. Face west at golden hour and you'll watch the sun go down with SeaWorld's Skytower on the horizon. That's where the house gets its name. After dark, stay put: SeaWorld's drone show lights up the western sky on show nights, and on select summer nights and the Fourth of July you get the fireworks without fighting the crowds at the bay.
Out front, a passion fruit vine covers the fence around a patio with a table for four and an umbrella, perfect for morning coffee. All summer long, the vine is full of fruit.

The Gärten is a beer garden with three breweries pouring, wood-fired pizza, and bands on weekends, and Harland Brewing is up the road in Bay Park. For coffee, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is just down Morena. For a late bite, JV's burritos are around the corner, and Sidecar Bar pours cocktails until 2am with a burger cart out front.
Getting around: Tecolote Road trolley station is about a 10-minute walk. The Blue Line runs south to Old Town and downtown and north to UCSD, so you can skip parking for a Padres game or a campus visit. By car, four freeways are within a few minutes (I-5, I-8, I-805, and SR-163). Uber and Lyft usually arrive within 5 minutes.
Visiting a student? The University of San Diego is a 5-minute drive. UCSD is a straight shot north on the trolley, and SDSU is 15 minutes east on I-8.
Here for a Marine graduation? MCRD San Diego is a 10-minute drive. With four bedrooms and a 2-car garage, the whole family stays together for the weekend.
GOOD TO KNOW The whole house is yours: all three floors, the rooftop patio, the front patio, and the 2-car garage. Self check-in with a keypad. You'll get your code before check-in. Early check-in or late check-out: ask, and I'll make it work when the calendar allows.
Security: exterior cameras cover every outside entrance (front door, side door, patio door, and garage). There are no cameras inside the house. Smoke and CO detectors and a fire extinguisher are in place.
The house is designed for 8 guests, and that's the maximum.
As a lifelong San Diegan, I enjoy helping guests find the best of our city. Whether you're a family, a couple, a group of friends, or traveling solo, I'm glad to point you to the right beach, a good restaurant, or the places locals actually go. I respect your privacy and won't intrude on your stay. But if you need anything or want a recommendation, I'm a message away.
