Apartment had view over gardens and balcony faces west so you get the afternoon and evening sun. Quiet at night but still close to main hotel, restaurants, shops and beach. On main bus route so easy to catch bus to Las Palmas or Mogan and also to the airport. Second time we have stayed at this resort, easy walks along beach front and not too crowded.

We stayed on Las Pitas for three days. We had great time. I really recomended and will be back. We didnt pay a lot for room but we have everything from Maine hotel. Breakfast was like a feast. I never experience suche a good brakfast. All Staff great. No waiting and people around very polite. I recomend for families as there is a lot to do for kids.

Luxurious and great for families

+ Gatekept and safe + Looks luxurious + Appartment had a lot of space + Close to the beach + Cheap buffet at the hotel + Great for families + Cleaning staff even did the dishes + Paths with no stairs, so it's easy to check-in with luggage + Nice patio with an amazing view of both the ocean and the desert behind - Was hard to find out where to check in, our taxi driver drove us to las pitas and not the hotel - Bahia beach has a lot of smaller stones which makes it tricky to orient, something can be done there I believe

Beach was horrible. Not easy to access. Water dark and very wavy. Staff were nice. Rooms clean but run down. Food was awful and always cold. Desserts always the same and tasteless. Tourists were very rude. Many safety concerns noticed. Tripped on some thing in the ground that wasn’t marked. Lighting poor. Many stairs for ppl who are disabled or with babies. Shower leaked. Door lock jammed. No accommodations for late check out. Spa was great but you have to pay extra. Water could have been warmer. Many screaming kids in the adult eating area. Pool and dining room no where to sit. The waiters take your food before you’re done. I would never stay here again.

Some bits to improve on

Overall was a very good stay, albeit I must say the beds were very uncomfortable. Two single beds for a couple and with those top up very thing and soft mattress that aren’t really a mattress and are horrible for your back. Bed frames also had breaks that were not working so the frames would also easily move. When we checked in we were told the pool closing time was at 7, however I got in the pool at 17:55 and got told off by the maintenance guy telling me pool closes at 18:00 and it is o my in summer it closes at 19:00. Gran Canaria is a sunny island and I think the pool should always stay open until 7 so that people can take advantage of it.

It was so hard to check in. So many steps to get to the property. Hard to find parking in street. Property air conditioner was not working fine and was noisy. Property was far from beach and swimming pool. Over all that was waste of money.

Tried to scam me

At check in the hotel wanted money for the stay even though i had already payed for the entire stay on hotels.com. I showed the voucher wich clearly stated that it was payed already (in both English and Spanish). They still wanted a double payment. I contacted hotels.com support and they were friendly and helped me. They had to call the hotel several times to tell them that it is indeed already payed. The whole thing took 2 hours of waiting in the reception with a very unfriendly behaviour from the front desk staff. I got the impression that they tried to scam me for money. This they faild but they stole 2 hours of my time. Rooms are good and cleaning lady very nice

Schöner Resort und große Studios. Das Frühstück ist jeden Tag gleich, aber völlig in Ordnung. Leider gibt es viel zu wenige Sonnenschirme an den Pools. Für den Spa muss man extra zahlen. Der Strand am Resort ist nicht wirklich nutzbar zum schwimmen. Zu Fuß erreichbar sind Supermärkte und ein toller Platz mit Restaurants.

Todo bien, el servicio genial, solo un comentario: las animaciones en ingles, los niños de aqui no entendian nada. Ademas estamos en el mundial de futbol y el partido de Inglaterra lo ponen en pantalla grande, salon grande, con buen sonido y al dia siguiente cuando jugo España, el futbol en recepcion, pocos asientos, tele pqña y apenas se oia. Todos sentimos que no estabamos en nuestra tierra. Les animo a que mejoren este punto, ya que habia muchos españoles y canarios alli tambien. Lo demas sin quejas.

Die Studios waren relativ gut ausgestattet. Vorteil: Man ist abseits vom Trubel, kann aber die Einrichtungen vom Hotel Orquidea nutzen, wenn man möchte.
