Deserted - nobody there

Nobody there - place was deserted despite advising we would be arriving around 8pm having driven to Bordeaux from London. Nobody answered my calls - unbelievable. Stuck in the dark in the middle of nowhere. Hotels.com found us another room so we checked in after 10pm. Totally exhausted and frustrated. I don’t understand why they didn’t call me to see where we were - especially as we advised our late arrival. Maybe somebody should remind this place who the customer is, especially at this time of a pandemic.

Genuint, trevligt och fin pool.

Familjärt och fin pool. Trevlig personal, väldigt genuint. Endast 2 rum varav vi var ensamma under vår vistelse och hade hela det trevliga poolområdet för oss själva.

Mooi gelegen tussen de wijnranken. Lieve gastvrouw. Ontvangen met een heerlijk glas wijn! Fijn zwembad om af te koelen. Netjes en schoon. Wijnwinkel,om zelf een wijntje uit te zoeken. Romantische sfeer in de ontbijtruimte. Zeer tevreden over deze plek. Aanrader.

Schöne Unterkunft in den Weinbergen

Freundliche, tierliebe Gastgeberin, die einem auch viele Tipps für die Umgebung gibt. Typisches französisches Frühstück, nettes Zimmer und schöner Pool. Unser Hund war herzlich willkommen!

A wonderful place to stay. Isabelle and Vincent were great hosts and we were met with a glass of their own wine on arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable with elegant furnishings. The Château and surrounding vineyards are set in beautiful countryside and easy to locate. An excellent base for exploring the various wine regions surrounding Bordeaux.

Okay but not again

Breakfast was mediocre, baguette and jam, chocolate croissant, coffee. Towels are hard and small. One small thin bed pillow per bed. Pool was dirty after a storm which we tried to clean.

A big disappointment

Isabelle, owner, is very gracious and helpful about local sights and recommendations for restaurants. We were offered a glass of wine upon our arrival. The good part ended there. The room we reserved was unavailable; the bed was lumpy, poor lighting and the bathroom smelled of a failing septic system. The bath towels were paper thin. Continental breakfast was on the light side. The Chateau has an air of disrepair. Don’t expect to stay in the chateau.The rooms are in out buildings

My husband and I had a great time at Chateau Rouselle, sadly it was only one night but we really enjoyed it. The staff were very hospitable and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a good stay. Since it was in January we were the only guests there, which meant we were able to get a great wine education from them!

Enkelt men mysigt B&B. Vid tillfället var vi de enda gästerna så vi hade lyxen att ha poolen och frukostrummet för oss själva. Trevlig värd som även visade oss sin vinproduktion och vi fick möjlighet att prova hans viner. Tips är att boka denna aktivitet i förväg vid intresse.

Beautiful overnight stop.

Beautiful hotel with its own Château and vineyards. You can even ask the owner for a tour. We were welcomed with a glass of their own wine. The room was comfortable with a queen bed and our own courtyard immediately outside our accommodation. Breakfast was served in the Château.

Superbe cadre avec environnement reposant

Nous avons trouvé que la chambre en donnant sur l'extérieur permet une autonomie de déplacement facile pour prendre l'air sans déranger personne. Le véhicule à proximité est un avantage et le site convient aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Nous avons été reçu par une personne avenante et aux petits soins par rapport à nos demandes spécifiques avec notamment un superbe plateau petit déjeuner (car nous devions partir tôt le matin). .

Wonderful stop over in Bordeaux

We had a very lovely and comfortable stay, Isabel greeted us and got us settled and then got us directly to the wine cellar to taste their wine with a tour with the winemaker, Vincent, who was funny and very versed in the local wine history. Great wine, nice breakfast and good recommendations in Blaye for tapas and dinner.
