JR Inn Hakodate

10/10 Excellent

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would absolutely return next time we're in Hakodate. The location is unbeatable—conveniently right next to the JR station, with countless excellent restaurants just a short walk away. The highlight, without a doubt, was the breakfast. It’s the first time we’ve ever seen a sushi train included in a hotel buffet! We indulged in fresh sashimi, scallops, and a variety of sushi right from the conveyor belt—it was a dream for seafood lovers. The room itself was spacious by Japanese standards and very comfortable. We loved the view overlooking the harbour and the city. The staff were incredibly attentive and spoke good English, making communication seamless. A unique touch was the pillow corner, where you could choose your perfect pillow for a great night's sleep. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!"

Hakodate Kokusai Hotel

"After a few busy days in Tokyo, it was a nice change of pace to be in Hakodate. The hotel is in a great location that’s walking distance from the train station. And also to the brick warehouse shopping area and fish market. We also used the onsen at the hotel. It’s included in your stay. It was our very first time for our family. We didn’t know there was a little tote bag we could take up with us to the onsen. Also remember to bring a towel from your room. I wanted to book a massage but it was fully booked. You have to pay separately for the massage. Rates were very reasonable. Plan ahead next time. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was excellent. They are famous for the seafood parfait with ikura, shrimp, salmon, tuna. There’s also Wagyu too at the breakfast. Definitely worth it for around $23 usd per person. We would definitely come back again."

Hotel Enoe Hakodate

8/10 Good

"A very pleasant stay. Good location. Friendly, efficient staff. Room was clean and spacious. Cleaning scheduled every 3 days, although towels replaced daily if requested. Aircon was set for the whole hotel, so not adjustable in your room. The temperature was ok, but I found it a little warm when in bed and couldn't open the window to let any cool air in either. Overall though, good value and recommended."
