"The room was very bad, there was no staff and the condition of the “hotel” was atrocious. At night there was random screaming from all around, like it was mad max. The heating was terrible and the room was cold all night. Couldn’t sleep much at all and decided right there to switch to a real hotel. Idk who took the photos but they did a great job tricking customers into thinking that this was a decent place. Absolutely awful, basically a silent hill experience. "

"Amazing, regardless of price one of the best places I've stayed in Japan. 15 mins walk from Saga station in a quiet residential area and only 10 mins walk to multiple restaurants, Saga castle, balloon museum, library etc Hotel is the wrong word for this place,it is a stand alone home, perfect for a couple but extra space and futons for kids or another couple in comfort. "The Akebono Ryokan was a charming place to stay in a lowkey town that provided an excellent base for exploring Saga prefecture. The staff were so friendly, helpful and delightful. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff recommendations for the 3 places to eat dinner were wonderful- each small, specialised, local and in walking distance. Highly recommend."
