Spacious and comfortable family home with four double bedrooms, a private garden, and generous living spaces for larger groups or families. The house offers a calm and practical base for your stay in Rotterdam, with plenty of room to relax, cook, dine, and spend time together. The private garden is ideal for a quiet morning coffee, outdoor meal, or sunny afternoon. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms spread across two levels, the home is well suited for longer stays, groups of friends, families, or colleagues visiting Rotterdam together.
The Space:
The apartment has a direct private entrance from the street. After entering, a few steps lead to the ground-floor level, where one double bedroom is located. The remaining three double bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the lower (-1) floor. Please note that the apartment uses a sani broyeur (macerator toilet system). Only regular toilet paper may be flushed. Wipes, sanitary products, or other materials can block the system — even if labeled flushable.
Guest Access:
Private street-level entrance via the front door of Stadhoudersweg 105A. Enter the personal code on the keypad. Inside, a short staircase leads down to the lower-ground living area. The same code works for the apartment door. The front door auto-locks on close, so always carry your phone with the code or write it down before going out.
The Neighborhood:
The home is located in Blijdorp, one of Rotterdam’s most pleasant residential neighborhoods. The area is known for its green streets, local cafés, supermarkets, and relaxed atmosphere.
Vroesenpark is nearby for walks, picnics, or time outdoors, and Rotterdam Central Station and the city center are easy to reach by bike, public transport, or car. Blijdorp offers a quieter setting than the busy city center while still keeping you well connected to the rest of Rotterdam.
Getting Around:
Public transport: Tram 4 from "Stadhoudersplein" (2 min walk) reaches Rotterdam Centraal in 8 minutes. Metro line E from Blijdorp station (9 min walk) connects to the city centre and The Hague. Rotterdam-The Hague Airport: 25 min by taxi (~€25–30) or bus 33. Schiphol Airport: 35 min by direct intercity train from Rotterdam Centraal. Parking: street parking around the apartment is paid Mon–Sat 09:00–23:00 and Sun 12:00–23:00 at €3/hour (zone 721). Free up to 72 hours at P+R Meijersplein or P+R Kralingse Zoom if you continue by public transport.
Other Things to Note:
Two things worth knowing before you book: (1) Roughly 50% of the apartment is on the lower-ground level — both levels have natural light but two bedrooms and one bathroom sit slightly below street level. (2) Both toilets use a macerator pump (sanibroyer), common in older Dutch homes. They handle toilet paper and bodily waste perfectly but jam on anything else (wipes, tissues, kitchen paper). Full house manual is shared after booking.
Interaction with Guests:
Your host is Robert, working together with co-host Rotterdam HostBnB. Check-in is self-service via a personal door code, so we don't need to meet on arrival — but we're available through the platform's messaging throughout your stay and typically reply within 30 minutes. The day before you arrive you'll receive a welcome message with the address, code and key practical info. We'll send a quick check-out reminder the evening before departure.
