"We enjoyed staying at The Artist’s Haven for our weeklong stay in Chicago. The apartment was larger than it appeared from the pictures and was well appointed with everything we needed. The art throughout the apartment was not only nice to look at but gave the apartment more of a home-like feel. The owners had great communication with all our needs and questions. We would stay again! "

"Location was walking distance to our venue. Covered, private parking is a huge plus (make sure to reserve ahead). Room was great and the perfect size for 2, We enjoyed using the balcony. Location was quiet, no issues with neighbors. "

"The stay was great! The host was very responsive both prior to arriving and while we were there. It was easy to get around whether walking, driving, or taking the train. The explanation of the parking felt a little misleading. There isn’t a dedicated space - the parking is street parallel parking. It took a bit of time circling the nearby blocks to find a spot when we arrived in the evening on a weeknight. After that (on the weekend) we didn’t have any trouble finding a space. There is a lot of free parking around but some sides of streets are permit only - sounds like the host can get you a pass but we didn’t end up having to do that so I don’t know the specifics. "

"There is an electric problem, so don't plug in the space heater on the same wall as the fireplace, you will blow the fuse. I didn't risk it again, so i turned off the fireplace when i had to blow my hair dry. The wifi doesn't work AT ALl, and you are in a garden unit so you don't get cellular service either. No TV and no phone, nothing. Yiu can't even order an uber from the unit. We let the owner know, nothing happened.The residence upstairs are loud and you can hear them bang around and walk all night.There is no washer and dryer.The area was fun, it is in a great spot and was fairly clean."

"If all you are looking for is a place to sleep or rest and you don’t care about bells and whistles…then this vintage motel is perfect. The room was exceptionally clean but dated…we brought our own pillows thankfully because the motels are very thin and small. Besides that no complaints…already rebooked for June for a music festival in Chicago. "
