"The hosts were lovely and knowledgeable about the area. The place was a very reasonable price and it’s a nice walk into the center and surrounding parks. We enjoyed our stay very much. Much recommended!"

"Unfortunately we had poor weather for most of our stay and the access road to the property was very poor- about 4km of potholes and very large puddles. The first day we could not get down the access road as there was ongoing road work which we could not get past. The house itself is very traditional and is interestingly furnished. The cooking facilities were very basic. It was dark inside and the shower room and toilet were outside which was rather tricky in the night and in the rain. The scenery...

"The house was great, and the backyard vibe was awesome! There were a few essentials missing when we arrived (paper towels, trash bags, etc), but we had a very last minute booking - so it was totally understandable. The property manager was very quick to address it and he was very attentive throughout the week. The one improvement I would suggest is an additional gate remote and house key. "

For a relaxing holiday in rural Romania - look no further - the Wolkenhaus will bring you everything you need. Contact Björn Reinhardt, the frienly and kind owner. He knows all there is to know about the history and the people of Maramures. You will not be...

"The location and views were incredible and while there were some wonky things about the property (showers too small and steep stairs to the bedrooms) we would stay again due to the beautiful and quiet location along the river. Also, the management team was first class providing excellent information and responsive."

"Our vacation was very memorable and the house was absolutely amazing, in prime location. When we arrived the check in was a breeze, right away we felt like home. Everything was very clean and amazingly stocked with everything we needed. Very quiet location and relaxing with the beautiful patio. The host was amazing and checked with us if we need the place to be cleaned and bed sheets replaced. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you again Adina for your hopitality. "
