"This house was comfortable and could easily accommodate a large party (we were only 4), though the living/dining space is very small in comparison to the very large bedrooms. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked nice. The beds were very comfortable, though others would want to bring additional blankets if renting in the winter as we did. The bathroom sinks and showers did not drain properly. The biggest pro for the house is its proximity to the beach—you’re practically in the waves, which is what we were looking for. The beach and ocean views were at the top of our list when we paid top dollar for this house. Unfortunately, the owners have intentionally left a major eyesore out of the promotional photos. A huge power plant dominates the view day and night. It belches smoke or steam into the air 24 hours a day and is lit up like a Christmas tree, shining into the house all night. This was our first trip to this area, and because it was not in the photos, we had no idea it was there. We would not have paid the price we paid for that view. I can’t imagine that other reviewers haven’t mentioned this, unless they are more familiar with the area and used to the oceanfront industries up and down that coastline. We wish the photos would have been more honest."

"Bill is a great host. He checked in with us to make sure everything was good, and then left us to our own devices. The house itself was great. It was exceptionally clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. The driveway is wide and fits 4 cars. It was too cold to go to the beach, but we took the short walk down to see the water. Again, we were there in the off-season, but it was very peaceful. There's a super cute deck off the back of the house which would be great in warmer weather. Truthfully, I have no complaints about Bill's house and would definitely rent again if I'm ever back in the area. "

"Liz’s house is absolutely amazing!! The views of the marsh and sound are absolutely beautiful! The house is spacious, well-appointed and fully stocked! Besides the house being so amazing the host Liz was outstanding! She literally saved our Christmas holiday by being so flexible and accommodating after our originally booked rental fell through at the last moment. I would highly recommend Liz’s place to anyone and everyone! "

"From the front the house looks smaller than it actually is, surprisingly updated and plenty of room inside. The house is well equipped and love the set up, everything from the kitchen to the bedrooms, living room and up to the deck. No shortage of receptacles for cell phones, etc., which is a good feature. 5 minute walk to the beach, but if bringing lots of gear, should take advantage of parking or dropping it off, the hill on the way back is um exhilarating :)"
