Great public library! They have a fabulous team room for training which I was in town for. If you have kids definitely visit the library as it has an awesome kids section and a fun tube slide from the 2nd story to the main floor for kids to pay in.

Roanoke is a great area full of great restaurants, parks, entertainment, dancing on fri-sat and beautiful hiking, biking and walking. You can find many events happening at Dr. Pepper park, Civic center, Mill Mountain Theater and so much more!

Roanoke is a weird city but I've grown to love it. The surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous, tons of hiking, and the city itself has some real hidden gems for food and activities.

It's such a scenic region, particularly in the fall with the changing of the leaves. Smith Mountain Lake isn't that far away to visit, along with a number of local attractions.

Roanoke is the Star City! I am from Salem, VA but visiting from Atlanta, GA. The mountains are beautiful to see especially with snow on them! A great chance to see all my friends and family while enjoying several great places to eat.
