「Big Horse Inn is a hidden gem in this part of Illinois. It is perfectly located, close to Dickson Mounds (great hiking trails), Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, and the Illinois/Spoon River area. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Self check-in could not have been easier. Don't miss the attached Black Maple coffee shop for delicious breakfast and lunch options (and coffee, of course). 「We had a quick stay, but it a well worth it unique stay. We stayed in a silo, how cool is that! Stars at night, deer roaming around early morning. Quiet, remote area. Highly recommend this unique location.」
