"Although we enjoyed our stay at this hotel overall, there are definitely some areas for improvement. The lady who welcomed us was in a very bad mood when we arrived, which was not a great first impression. The breakfast was very disappointing, with limited options and poor-quality food. We chose this hotel over other options specifically because of the breakfast, but unfortunately, it was not worth it. We ended up having breakfast elsewhere every day. Finally, our room had a strong smell of humidity. The room itself was clean, but every time we entered, it took some time to get used to the smell. Aside from these issues, our overall experience was good. However, given these points, I would not choose this hotel again."

"The room was clean and pretty good breakfast but the front desk staff didn't seem to want to work there. Got 3 towels for 4 people the day before we checked out and used a couple at the pool because there were no towels available at the pool. I went to the front desk to request a couple extra towels before we checked out the next morning (housekeeping had not come by yet) and the person at the front desk called housekeeping and they told them they had come by our room that morning, which was impossible considering we had been in the room the whole morning. Seemed like they didn't want to just provide the towels as requested and acted like I was lying about housekeeping coming by with towels. I would rather stay at a hotel where I don't need to argue about towels. Otherwise the stay was good. Saw a couple bears near the laundry area late one night."

" Our stay at the Historic Rocky Waters Inn was truly wonderful and ended up being one of the most memorable nights of our trip to Tennessee. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, making us feel completely at home. The room was even more beautiful than we imagined. It was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully designed, and filled with luxurious touches that made the entire stay feel special. One of our absolute favorite parts was having the river running right outside our room—the sound of the water created such a peaceful, romantic atmosphere that was unlike anywhere we’ve stayed before. It was the perfect setting for a night filled with love, laughter, and making new memories together. There is something incredibly special about this beautiful little boutique inn, and it became a meaningful part of our Tennessee trip. We absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to return. If you’re looking for a romantic, luxurious, and unique place to stay in the Smokies, Historic Rocky Waters Inn is truly a gem. ❤️"

"The balcony overlooking the river was so relaxing! The hotel is close to the main street in Gaitlinburg and it is also near a trolley stop with made it easy to travel around the area without having to use our auto. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again."
