"Was traveling on a tight budget and The Querque met our needs. We did request to switch rooms as the 1st one we were placed in smelt of a sewer smell when we entered. The staff was very accommodating in switching us to a different room. Later when there was an issue with the shower head, a maintenance person came quickly and fixed the issue. The water pressure was great. I read comments of tub not draining in a different review, we had no issues with that. The surrounding area feels questionable as its close to the freeway and the hotel itself is a very large dated property. But once we settled in, we were good. I didn't notice anyone sketchy during our stay. The time we traveled, there was plenty of parking available and decently lit as well. If entering from an entrance not through the front office, your room key is required to access the hotel. A safety measure I appreciated. We did walk the breakfast in the morning but we chose not to eat as it was a lot of processed carbs, (Cold cereals, breakfast breads). Both evening and morning staff were very courteous, professional and accommodating. I didn't know what to expect as it was our first time staying here and reviews were mixed, but content with our stay. "

"We came in late, receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There was a security guard there also greeting us in a friendly way. Breakfast was pretty good-the pancake maker was not working well. Love the yougurt, fresh fruit, cereal, wish for a waffle maker and hard boiled eggs!"

"Check in staff did not make us feel welcome, provide any orientation of the property or how to get to the rooms. Treated me like a criminal and made me pay two different deposits one for each room despite both rooms booked on the same reservation. Room was dirty, lamp shades were bent and damaged, no toilet paper and the TV didn't work. I have never had to pay a deposit on a room ever, and this place was so run down. I booked three nights and only stayed one, had it not been so late and hadn't driven 10 hours, I wouldn't have even stayed. Breakfast was good and pool hot tub was acceptable. "
