"This was our first stop in our 10 day trip and we loved almost everything about this hotel. The service was outstanding, the aesthetic of the property was impeccable, and our room was divine. The only thing I would criticize would be the prices of the food available. We ordered ribs for lunch which cost $33 and they gave us 2 ribs which were smaller than my 9 year old son's fist. We ended up eating in town most of the nights there. Their complementary breakfast was delicious though."

"The best view of the volcanic mountain directly from our room! Felt like we were in the middle of the jungle where dinosaurs roamed around our lodge. Loved everything about this place. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Costa Rica for the first time like us. Will definitely come back."

"The staff was amazingly friendly, the food was wonderful and the only problem was in the steep climb to our room! A staff member took my bag to the room for me so all I had to do was get up there myself (luckily) I am sure younger people would not have a problem."

"I cannot say enough good things about this property. From check in to check out. The staff was amazing everywhere. The food was amazing. The amenities are off the charts. The room was fantastic. Peaceful. Gorgeous views. If I could stay here forever I would. West bungalow was AMAZING. Yoga class was wonderful. Massage was relaxing. Canyon adventures zip lining and the Whitewater tubing were so much fun. And so worth it. Guides were GREAT. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Every day I discovered something new and I didn’t probably even see a fraction of what they have to offer. I will definitely be back. They made a big birthday trip a dream. And the concierge was also wonderful. This was my first trip to Costa Rica and they made it so amazing. PURA VIDA!"

"The property was beautiful! The host was very accommodating! I had to check out a day early and she was agreeable and reimbursed me for the night. They also decorated for our anniversary which was so sweet! The area was very secluded and definitely relaxing! The drive there is a bit taxing and I would definitely recommend renting an AWD or FWD most of the road is not paved. The drive is about 30-40 mins out from food or stores. So stock up beforehand. The host did send me two restaurants that are 20 mins out from location. Avoid driving up at night. It gets very dark and can be very intimidating as you’re going up a mountain with just car lights and sometimes there is mist or fog which makes it hard to see. Rain water does enter room by the door if it’s raining really hard but it’s not too bad if you place a towel at the door. There can be a few bugs but it’s the jungle. So it’s to be expected. They did provide bug spray. Overall It was a great place to relax and my husband was able to fly his drone with no issues. The view is amazing. We missed the volcano but had we stayed the extra night we would’ve caught it; but seeing it through the clouds I know it’s an amazing view! The room was quaint.It’s was like glamping. So if you have huge luggage you may not have a lot of space. Parking is close though! And they have a restaurant on site that opens on the weekend. Again overall it was a nice stay with a view you can’t beat!"
