5 stars all around! This place was wonderful and the hosts were top tier! The rooms were perfect, private and clean. The pool was so nice and it is easy to get to many parts of the island from the location. The hosts go above and beyond. Breakfast every morning was so amazing and delicious. Such a luxury and personalized experience for a reasonable price. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Franck and Miguel have created a beautiful oasis behind an inconspicuous wall. This very small hotel (currently only four rooms) has stunning art, beautiful gardens and a delicious breakfast. Most memorable, however, is the daily advice Franck gave us to guide our choice of activities for the day. His restaurant recommendations were also excellent.

Hôtes sympathiques et attentionnés, décor soigné, ameublement et literie de haute qualité, petits déjeuners copieux, variés et excellents.
Les petits déjeuners sont servis sous la véranda qui donne sur la piscine.

Our stay at Maison Emeraude was without a doubt, one of our best stays of our entire 10 day trip to Portugal. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering advice about our itineraries for each day, and made the most delicious breakfast and dinner! It was peaceful, relaxing, and charming. My husband and I look forward to staying again the next time we visit the Azores!

Unser Aufenthalt im Maison Emeraude war großartig und wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Wir haben 9 Nächte bei Franck und Miguel verbracht und alles war genau so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben, wenn nicht sogar besser. Die Zimmer sind mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und das ganze Grundstück mit Wintergarten, Pool und Garten strahlt Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit aus. Zusätzlich sind die beiden hervorragende Gastgeber; super herzlich und immer hilfsbereit was die nächste Aktivität auf der Insel, Restaurant Tipps usw. angeht. Unser tägliches Highlight war das sehr vielfältige und abwechslungsreiche Frühstück. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.

We had an amazing stay with Franck and Miguel. Both of them are extremely welcoming, we really felt at home at Maison Émeraude. The property is just magical with wonderfully selected furniture and the great breakfast made it a perfect start into the day.

Maison Emeraude is tucked away behind dark stone walls. Inside is a lush, colourful oasis of lovely gardens and inviting pool. Our was very clean and quiet with a comfortable king sized bed. Franck and Miguel were great hosts and shared tips on where to go and what to do. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, breads, coffee, eggs and more! We really enjoyed our stay!

Wir haben elf wunderbare Tage bei Franck und Miguel verbracht.Jeden Tag hat Franck uns ein liebevolles Frühstück zubereitet was keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat 🍀.Unser Zimmer war riesig und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet ein toller Ort zum verweilen.Auch die Menüs am Abend waren hervorragend 🍴🍷 und sehr lecker. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

We enjoyed an excellent holiday at Maison Emeraude - easily one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. The Maison itself is a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and authenticity. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, from the tasteful interior design to the serene atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully appointed - spotlessly clean, spacious, and filled with nice details. Waking up each morning felt like waking up to paradise, with peaceful surroundings and a sense of total relaxation. What truly sets Maison Emeraude apart though, is the hospitality of Franck and Miguel. The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, offering a level of warmth and personal care for their guests that you won’t get in any other hotel on the Azores. Breakfast is the best you can imagine. Fresh fruit from their own huge garden, good coffee and a tasty varying selection make it a blessing in the morning. The dinner is also a clear recommendation. The food is selected in coordination with the guests and freshly cooked. We liked it very much. The location is also ideal - tucked away in a quieter area but still perfectly positioned for exploring the island’s beautiful landscapes, from volcanic lakes to lush greenery and rugged coastlines. After a day of adventure, returning to the calm and comfort of the Maison felt like coming home. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We will definitely return here for our next trip to the Azores.
