"We enjoyed our stay here! So much history with the house, and a very quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. After fighting through the crowds for the Normandy anniversary, it was nice to come back to our quiet corner of France. Would definitely stay again!"

"This was the first hotel that we have ever stayed in where there is literally not a single staff member in the hotel overnight. Check-in is meant to be from 1.00 pm but when we arrived at 5.00 pm the hotel was deserted. We sat in a pub in the square until 6.30 pm by which time a member of staff had driven up. We had magret de canard for dinner but the fat was raw having not been rendered. The same female staff member was the receptionist, the cleaner, the barmaid and the chef. On our second day's breakfast the only bread provided was sliced from the supermarket, a first in our experience. That being said, if all you want is a comfortable bed and save money to spend on dinner elsewhere then go for it!"

"The communal outside seating areas are well spaced, and there is a separate breakfast room, where you can sit indoors to eat breakfast, allocated with every bedroom, which we loved, as we really don’t like communal breakfast times. There is coffee and tea etc on tap with fresh croissants/pain au chocolat, plus a baguette and brioche supplied fresh from thé boulangerie every morning, and a fridge stocked with milk, yoghurt, cheese and butter. The owners are very helpful, and the B&B is located a short walk from the historical sites, museums, brasseries, restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Beautiful property. Very attentive hosts. Delicious breakfast. Well worth a visit! Just outside Falaise which is a lovely small town with good restaurants, shops and bars. Stunning castle and cathedral! Beware the satnav. Our tomtom took us to the wrong place!"

"The area is beautiful. An unspoilt part of France that has much to offer. Jenny our host lives next door to this traditional gite. She met us on arrival and was hugely welcoming. Throughout our stay she advised things to do and places to eat. We kayaked, hiked, climbed and went on the luge. The gite has all things you might need to stay. We often cooked at home. WiFi was a little slow in some parts of the house but you just have to choose where to sit. 4g was very strong despite it being very rural.l so it didn’t really matter anyway if you have plenty of data. To get bread milk etc is about 10 min drive. Not far but just country roads so you don’t go anywhere fast but you are on holiday so it didn’t matter. The gite is very rural but you can walk down to Clecy in about 45 mins (it’s down hill) although a bit rugged in places so need to be fairly sure footed. And back up is in part very up hill but worth it for the incredible views at the top of the cliff. The gite was a good base for us and was plenty big enough for the 4 of us."
