Welcome to 115 Jersey Street, Blue Gem—a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath single-story home nestled among the pines just 1.5 blocks from the beach in sought-after Dewey Beach. This recently updated coastal retreat features a modern kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a renovated primary bath, and two outdoor showers—perfect after a day in the sand and surf. Relax on the screened-in porch with ceiling fans or the spacious backyard deck furnished with high-end seating, ideal for morning coffee or evening cocktails under the stars. Inside, the open living and dining areas feature rustic wood floors and stylish coastal décor, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The primary bedroom offers a king bed and updated full bath with elegant finishes, while the two additional bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping options with a king, queen, and twin bed, sleeping up to seven guests. Additional amenities include individually controlled A/C in each room, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, gas grill, coffee maker, blender, and off-street parking for 2–3 cars. Six beach chairs are provided for your convenience. Pets are welcome (up to two dogs) with a non-refundable fee. Linens are not supplied, but rental packages are available. Blue Gem is perfectly located for easy access to Dewey's lifeguard-protected beaches and vibrant downtown with tax-free shopping, fine dining, water sports, and lively nightlife. Street parking is available with a Dewey Beach parking pass, and seasonal events like Movies on the Beach and Family Bonfire nights make this an ideal getaway for families, couples, and friends.
Please note that the VRBO service fee is charged separately by VRBO and is not imposed by the Host. As a result, your credit card will reflect two separate charges: one from VRBO for the service fee and one from the Host for the rental charges. The VRBO service fee will not appear on the Rental Agreement.

Amazing location!

Awesome location only a 3 minute walk to a guarded beach. Away from the craziness of downtown but close enough to enjoy on foot if that’s your thing. Our dog LOVED being able to play in the beach each morning and evening - it’s like a giant dog park! We will be back!

The property is in a great location, easy access to the beach, a quick walk to Dewey or a short drive to Rehoboth. The only improvement I would make, update the throw rugs. Wonderful stay!

Beach getaway

We (myself, wife, 1 y/o daughter, in-laws, and dog) stayed here for a week this August. The house was as listed, and made for a very comfortable home base for us to enjoy the beach (a ~5 minute walk away) and other activities. Check in and check out were smooth, and we encountered no issues during our stay. We would absolutely consider staying here again in the future.

Beautiful location & nice size house

For the amount of the stay for a week, my expectations are fairly high, especially where cleanliness is concerned. There were flies everywhere inside that we needed to take care of as soon as we arrived and there were 2 freshly urinated on rugs from a previous renter’s pet. We love our dogs and love the ability to bring ours too, but this should be addressed and the home should be thoroughly cleaned before the next guests arrival. Shower curtain has mold on it, bedding old and & musty & an overall mildew smell throughout especially in the back bedroom. General overall cleaning should be done for dusty areas and cushions that have stains and or dirt/dog hair on them. We had difficulty operating the air conditioning at first so better instructions on the units would be helpful. When called Remax I was rushed through my conversation to share this info & never received a return call back as I was told. The happy stays app did not work therefore we were not able to utilize to check in or out. Vacuums are very old & heavy to use. We cleaned as we went as I said we like things clean. We left the house clean and as we found it. Beautiful back yard and patio area and loved the double outdoor shower. We used it regularly. Location was quiet and close to the beach. The kitchen is updated and convenient. The space was enough for our family. Overall a wonderful trip and fantastic location and the house suited our needs. Just picky on my cleanliness expectations I guess.

Loved our stay on Jersey Street

We've been renting in this neighborhood for the past 6 summers and loved this house on Jersey. For us, having a dog friendly home is key - as part of the joy of coming to Dewey is our dogs can be on the beach in the mornings and evenings. This house was spacious and well appointed with a huge backyard deck and 2 outdoor showers - which we loved. We hope to return to this home in future summers.

Start with the location

Park your car and forget it. Easily walk to the beach and Dewey. only a mile from Rehobeth and the main entrance to the boardwalk. Walk to kayaking and if you bike it's an easy ride to Cape Henlopen. Great outdoor space in back and fenced in for our small dog. Comfortable accommodations and a modern kitchen. Definitely recommended. But, if you want the linen rental, double check with the property manager. We did have to scramble on that.

Dewey Beach Beach House

This house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 dogs! All necessary amenities were available to cook meals each night. The backyard was open and spacious for the dogs to play. The location was great-just a quick 2 block walk. It was also a great location to let the dogs play on the beach in the evening, and the outside showers were a great addition to clean sand off people and dogs each day!

Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this vacation home. It was quiet, clean, cozy, and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would go to this location again in a heartbeat.

Reasonable gem

The location is very good. Close to a remote and relaxing beach. Easy walk. Close to boardwalk area with the chaos.The back patio area is lovely - large and nicely landscaped. The linen service is pretty substandard. I flew in from Colorado so I could not bring decent ones. The place is pretty good - some of the furnishings are dated and could use a refresh - front porch furniture is rusted and stained. I think someone should do a good walk through to test things. Ice maker threw ice all over the floor and jammed, the washer and bathroom smelled of mold. Some of the ceiling fans would not turn off. I know it is a dog friendly house which is good but I didn't want to sit on the couches - they looked pretty cruddy. For a 300 pet fee, you could wash the cushions occasionally. Overall a good value except for 300 pet fee.

As described, the house is a short walk to a nice stretch of Dewey Beach. We were able to fit 3 small cars in the driveway. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The shared bath is quite small, so that a large person will find it inconvenient. We would have enjoyed the fireplace on our first, cold night. Lots of outdoor patio space. TV works fine. Overall, a good property. We would rent it again.

Perfect hidden gem!

The house was amazing! Perfect location, one block of the beach. In the pines so you feel like you’re miles from the action but yet everything is just around the block. Breezeway is so cute and the kitchen was stocked with literally everything! The 3 year olds to my almost 70 year old uncle loved this house!

Great beach cottage in Rehoboth by the Sea

We have always wanted to stay in one of the "Windswept" cottages that were built all over this area in the 60s and 70s. This was a great example with the living and bedrooms off of the open hall. Such a unique house and a window to the time when beach cottages were small and simple. Check-in, our stay, and check-out were all smooth and a great experience. We would absolutely return to this house.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our vacation stay at this house. The house was spacious and yet still felt private for Zoom meetings and those that had to work from "home". The house had great seating and we all loved the outdoor areas as well. The house was very well equipped. The wall air conditioning units worked great . We'd love to stay again!
