"Lovely, out-of-the-way home, set in a wooded, rural area about 13 minutes outside of Rhinebeck. The room is beautifully decorated. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and spacious. The only things I would improve are: having some reading lamps in the living room and bedroom for the evening. Both the sitting area and bedroom are a little dark. A chest of drawers to place clothes would be nice so one does not have to live out of a suitcase."

"I loved my stay at Fox Den. It's a very well equipped, thoughtfully designed studio.The covered pergola is ideal for enjoying the lake view, grilling dinner, or counting the 20 plus kinds of birds that eat at the feeder or sing nearby.The lake is perfect for swimming; the kayaks and pedal boat are handy to use to explore the entire lake.Jean and Jim are terrific hosts, Privacy is never an issue, as the layout allows guests to feel like they are the sole residents at the lakefront. When I had questions they were handy to answer.The studio is at the end of a long, rustic road: it felt like Maine, but it's only 2 hours from NYC."

"We could not have had a better time in the area and the house was a great place to stay and relax after our activities. It was so well maintained and beautifully outfitted in both decor and supplies.The host was pleasant and easy to communicate with when necessary. We would definitely hope to stay here again if we return to the area."

"The outside looked like an old hotel, but the inside was adorable. The room was big with plenty of room to move around; it had a sink, refrigerator, and microwave. There was a small table with two chairs. It was very quiet. I will definitely go there again if I am going to seminars at the Omega Institute. It is only a 20-minute drive from there."

"I have already opened a case with Expedia and have not heard back- I contacted the hotel directly Hello, I have arrived at the property and am disappointed to find that it does not match the listing photos or description. The accommodations appear significantly more worn and less clean than represented online. In addition, I did not receive the check-in instructions with the access code, and when I rang the bell for assistance, the hostess was rude and dismissive. Because there are no alternative accommodations available in the area tonight, we are staying for one night only. However, I want to document these concerns immediately and request that this matter be reviewed. Please note that we do not consider the property to be as advertised I have photos documenting the condition of the property and can when we arrived rang the bell Pamela answered the door , very perturbed and asked me if I received the code which was in a text from Expedia. I said i didn't see it, then she briskly asked me what room i was in - there are only 4 rooms as you know and she had my name it was a very unwelcome welcome the bathtub the baseboards and dust in the hallways the description We stayed one night due to lack of availability elsewhere . right after I told her how unhappy I was, I told her we would be checking out on Sunday- U was not told I was going to be charlged for the whole reservation so i booked elsewhere and paid in advance thank you Robyn Glaser Booked through Expedia"

"We enjoyed our stay and it was very close to the Omega Institute where our retreat was being held. It was very dark checking in and there were different codes for different points of entry. The darkness and varying codes made it more difficult to make our way through the garage and then into the home. The Glade plug in smell was overwhelming upon walking in and we had a hard time navigating the lights (some were switches, some of the wall switches weren’t working), but other than that it was comfortable. The charming home had a lovely view, porch, and pool, but sadly we didn’t get to partake as most of our waking hours were spent at Omega. I would possibly rent again another time if we had longer to enjoy the amenities."
