Loved being next to the cows! The country feel was wonderful. I think it's important to point out that this apartment was on the second floor & there was no elevator for those who can't climb stairs.

Property had plenty of amenities. Pool was nice. Parking was ample. The only thing that would have been nice to have was a toaster...but the oven had a broiler that worked perfectly.

Perfect Base for SD Adventure

It was everything we could have hoped for easy access to all the sights, Keystone and a grocery store. And the Pool! THE POOL! Our family swam each and every day.

Great place to stay!

Our stay was excellent. Very clean apartment and complex, quiet, beautiful sunrise over the hills every morning. Enjoyed the close proximity to the town of Rapid City and being on the outskirts of town towards Mt. Rushmore and the Needles Highway was very nice. We spent every day we could out on Needles Highway hiking somewhere! As for my 3 stars - check in was very easy, but being an apartment complex the office was closed at 5:00 and we were arriving at that time but didn't realize we had to be there to get our key. Most VRBO's have a code on the door and I kept waiting to get that info. This one was a key from the office. We were able to work it out at the last minute but that was unexpected and not sure how we would have handled checkin had we not been able to get someone to the office by 5:00. Also, on the day we checked out, the office person was not at their desk and we left our key on the desk. There was a note to text, so we did, stating where our key was and we never heard back. I even tried to call but didn't get through. Didn't appreciate that because something could have happened to that key and we would be responsible. Other than that, it is an excellent place to stay. Very clean and modern (except master bed is small but that was not a deal breaker). We noticed when looking for housing in Rapid City that it is dated, but this apartment is not dated and is very simple, neat, clean and modern. We would stay there again!

on our own

As far as the property was concerned it was nice enough. We thought it was to hold 4 people comfortably. Only 2 bar stools available and no table to sit at. We took some meat to grill but found no grill around. NO seasonings to season our food. NO trash bags and no wastebasket in the kitchen. NO laundry detergent to wash up towels. The manager was there when we checked in but tried to get her several times later and no answer. We never figured out how to work the TV. I think simple instructions would have been very nice. We own a vrbo and our manager keeps the place stocked with snacks, water, ice and fire wood. We did like that we were as close to the sights that we wanted to see. We had a good time with our grandson but hopefully this will help you understand that when you pay that much for a night that you expect it to have a lot of the same ammenities that you would at home.
