"When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. I cannot say enough great things about tis property. We looked forward to having coffee on our back deck in the morning. We actually had a four-day event in Plains, MT; the drive back and forth wasn't bad at all. I highly recommend that if you are within 30 or 45 minutes of the Shady Rest, you book it. It's so much nicer than a hotel. You literally have all of the conveniences of home in a picturesque setting - a great shower, comfy bed, full kitchen, and a living room to relax and put your feet up. I highly recommend Shady Rest! You will not be disappointed."
