"Everything great apart from breakfast didn’t start until 9am so I had to go without before a 3 hour drive home. "

"This is a very tired hotel. Holes in curtains and stains in the carpet. Waited 5-6 mins for a member of the team to arrive in the dining room at breakfast and then gave up. The dining room looked abandoned and not set up for breakfast. This hotel, given its location and setting should really be a lot better than this. The pool and spa area is nice but the Sauna goes off and one has to go to reception to have it put back on. The lights in the pool area do not come on until it is dusk outside meaning it is not adequately lit. I had to ask for 3 days on the bounce for shower gel for the showers as the dispensers in the area were empty and not refilled. Unloved and not properly cared for is my view. I won’t be returning. "

"The plumbing was diabolical- back up from the pipes and the wrench in both of our rooms made us feel sick "

"The rooms are comfortable and suprisingly quit as at back of pub. The rooms were cleaned every day unless you requested not to. Standard of clening very good, tea and coffee making facilities in room as well as a fridge. The only downside was slight crack in sink unit bit it was hairline. The pub and staff are very friendly. The pub is a nice feel lick a regulars sort of pud, with lots of nooks to go into to get privacy. All in all highly reccomended."

"We had a fantastic week at The Granary. We selected the property for its downstairs assisted bathroom/bedroom and it was ideal for our elderly parents. The property was really clean, has everything we needed (including a new internet connection) and a very thoughtful welcome pack. The owners are very nice people, chatted with us on the first day to make sure we were settled and then left us alone - the ideal hosts. The location is a bit out of the way (our choice) but some great pubs nearby. Would thoroughly recommend."

"We arrived on Friday evening after a long drive from Scotland and Hillary could not be more welcoming and accommodating! The railway carriage was beautiful on the inside surrounded by a stunning landscape and wildlife which was so bliss. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We would love to stay here again and for even longer next time! "
